Logitec Japan has introduced a Bluetooth Audio Receiver. Compatible with DAPs, PCs, mobile phones or other electronic gadgets, the device comes in four different colors. It utilizes Wolfson Audio Plus 3D Audio Technology and controls playback/stop/remote control. The company claims about 200 hours of battery life for the 2.1 Bluetooth (A2DP, AVRCP, HSP/HFP) receiver. No date or price of the LBT-AR200C2 has been released at this point.

If you are thinking bare necessity, Taiwan’s MSI has officially announced their WindBOX. The minimal desktop attaches to your monitor’s VESA mount. Features include an Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1 GB of RAM and a SATA II interface. It also has Ethernet and WiFi compatibility, a 3-in-1 card reader, a VGA out and 3 USB ports. Rumor has it that it will be out this quarter with a price of ~ $250.00.

Honeywell Dolphin 9950 Mobile Computer

Honeywell’s Dolphin 9950 is a handheld computer that runs on a 624MHz Marvell PXA270 processor with Windows Mobile 6.0 and 3.5-inch touchscreen. It also features a GPS quad band, GSM networking, a digital cam, 802.11b/g Bluetooth capability and barcode scanning with the company’s Adaptus Imaging Technology 5.0. Similar to their 9900, this model also has an integrated pistol grip and can handle dust, moisture and dropping on concrete, not that you should do that. Choose between a 56 or 43 key layout. Barack Obama continues to reach the hearts of minds of the nation’s younger citizens, and you just have to look at the way technology is being used as proof. My pal John Czwartacki from Verizon just shared an interesting piece of info - Verizon Wireless DC customers sent and received 2.9 million SMS messages between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm yesterday, during the inauguration. That’s a lot of tap-typing. To give an idea of reference, that is more than three times the number os texts sent last week during the same four hour timeframe.

Using magnetic induction, there are a dozen different receivers that will work with phones, PDAs, headsets, MP3 players, handheld games, GPS units, laptops, batteries, cameras, and more. For example, the one for home use comes with a storage tray and can handle up to 4 devices and has a USB port to charge a fifth. Archos is apparently getting ready to release their own netbook. The Archos 10 looks fairly lackluster and features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of DDR 2 of memory and a 160GB hard drive. The display is 10.2-inches with a 1024x600 resolution and the mini-PC has 802.11 b/g WiFi, a webcam, one Ethernet and 3 USB ports. Available in both black and white, no date or price has been formally released for the netbook.
