Jessica Biel Turns to Stripping for Powder Blue

For some reason, Justin Timberlake’s ladies really like working a pole.

In the upcoming movie, Powder Blue, four random characters find themselves coming together on Christmas Eve. , who once again aims to be remembered for her acting, will play a stripper trying to raise funds for her terminally-ill son.

As you can see in the trailer, the producers have relied on very little words - and many images of Jessica - to draw you into the story. (In case the quick edits had you wondering, that was an egg you saw cracked on Biel’s chest.)

Powder Blue also stars , Ray Liotta and Patrick Swayze. The movie is scheduled for release sometime in 2009.

Jason Voorhees is Back for More in Friday the 13th

When it comes to horror movies, if clearly out of fresh ideas.

The man behind The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), The Amityville Horror (2005), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) and The Hitcher (2007) is back at it again. Come 2009, we’ll get to see the latest remake (or “re-imagining”) the producer has kindly churned out for us.

Although there have already been 11 installments in the slasher franchise, Michael felt it was time to update Friday the 13th once again. Unfortunately, I’m having a hard seeing how this trip to Camp Crystal Lake is going to be any different from the rest. (Did I mention Bay is also planning to bring A Nightmare on Elm Street back to the screen?)

will take another stab at the box office on February 13th, 2009.

Preview of He’s Just Not That Into You

Although she recently admitted that she wasn’t a fan of Sarah Jessica Parker’s HBO series (“I never liked Sex and the City, the kind of thing where women only feel empowered once they find the Man”), Jennifer Aniston somehow managed to find herself in a movie that came to life because of the show.

In , Aniston plays just one of several relationship-challenged characters in the ensemble piece. The film is an adaptation of the book written by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tucillo, two of SATC‘s former writers.

The romantic comedy - also starring Scarlett Johansson, Ginnifer Goodwin,  Kevin Connolly, Drew Barrymore, Ben Affleck, Justin Long and Bradley Cooper - will debut on February 6, 2009…just in time for Valentine’s Day.

See Mickey Rourke as The Wrestler

I never thought I would find myself saying this: I’m really looking forward to watching this movie about a wrestler. (Granted - I’ve already seen Vision Quest. But that was an entirely different type of wrestling.)

Despite a list memorable performances (good and bad) through the 80’s, Mickey Rourke’s career - and face - eventually took quite a beating. Now, after some recent roles in Domino and Sin City, his name is once again being buzzed about. He’s even got people whispering about a possible Oscar.

Trailer #3 for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Despite the tone of the first two trailers, the 6th Harry Potter installment is really not as dark as it seems. At least, not entirely. This clip proves there are a few moments of levity to be found in the upcoming sequel. (It’s amazing what an “infatuation” potion can do to an hormonal teenager.)

Half-Blood Prince makes its way into theaters on July 17, 2009.

Watch the Trailer for Marley & Me

After watching the trailer for Marley & Me, I’ve determined this movie’s potential pluses are the same as this adaptation’s possible minuses.

  1. Jennifer Aniston: Although people are still fascinated by her personal life, they’ve seemed ho-hum lately about her film career.
  2. Owen Wilson: His past successes have been overshadowed by recent flops (The Darjeeling Limited, Drillbit Taylor).
  3. Marley: While I would normally feel pessimistic about any animal movie, how could anyone possibly explain ?
