Mila Kunis Has No Shame

Mila Kunis has no shame. The Ted actress doesn't mind starring in movies with gross out humor, something other young actresses might balk at, because she has finds them funny.
"I really have no shame. I think that certain things are funny and certain things are okay to make fun of--including myself. I think that you have to laugh at the absurdity of this entire industry and the absurdity of what it is we do. If I didn't, I'd go crazy," she said.
Mila, 28, also feels lucky that she can pick and choose what roles she takes on because she is financially secure from her long-running roles on TV show That 70s Show and cartoon Family Guy.
"After doing a TV show for eight years and a cartoon for more than a decade, you are, financially speaking, in a very lucky position where you don't have to work for the sake of working. And I decided to take advantage of that. I don't live lavishly, so it's not like I have 20 assistants and travel privately and shop every day. I actually live a very mediocre lifestyle. So I decided to step back and do things not just for the sake of doing them, but because I believe in them and I want to do them," she told James Franco for Interview Magazine.

Peter O’Toole Retires From Acting
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Classics, Celeb News,
Peter O'Toole has retired from acting.
The 79-year-old star - who played the titular character in 1962 movie Lawrence of Arabia - has bid a "dry-eyed" farewell to the profession and praised all the "fine people" and "good companions" he met throughout his career.
"It is time for me to chuck in the sponge. To retire from films and stage. The heart for it has gone out of me: it won't come back. My professional acting life, stage and screen, has brought me public support, emotional fulfillment and material comfort. It has brought me together with fine people, good companions with whom I've shared the inevitable lot of all actors: flops and hits. However, it's my belief that one should decide for oneself when it is time to end one's stay. So I bid the profession a dry-eyed and profoundly grateful farewell."

Robert Pattinson: I’m Not Buff Enough For Action Movies

Robert Pattinson isn't "buff enough" to be an action star.
The Twilight Saga hunk admitted he would prefer to make smaller, gritty dramas rather than take on blockbuster roles because he thinks he doesn't have the physique to be an action hero.
"If there is a way to maintain a career doing small, interesting movies I would take that option. I'm not buff enough for robot movies."
Robert also revealed he lacks confidence in his abilities and isn't expecting anyone to go wild for his latest movie Cosmopolis: "That's my biggest problem, confidence. I'm taking baby steps and hoping people will keep employing me. I can't see tons of people watching Cosmopolis and screaming at it. It would be amazing if they did."
George Lucas is Retiring

George Lucas is still planning to retire.
The Star Wars director is hoping to give up on Hollywood and make small scale movies at home for his own enjoyment.
"I'm moving away from the company, I'm moving away from all my businesses, I'm finishing all my obligations and I'm going to retire to my garage with my saw and hammer and build hobby movies. I've always wanted to make movies that were more experimental in nature, and not have to worry about them showing in movie theaters," he told Esquire.
George, 68, has made similar claims in January, and previously in 2005, when the final Star Wars film to date, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith was released. While many take the director's words with a pinch of salt - as he is widely expected to keep working as a producer on Hollywood films, including a possible new Indiana Jones movie - it is unlikely he will make any new Star Wars films, possibly after criticism he received over the three films in the franchise he made between 1999 and 2005 and his re-tweaking of elements in the original movies, shot in the 70s and 80s.
"Why would I make any more? When everybody yells at you all the time and says what a terrible person you are?" he said at the time.
Chris Hemsworth ‘Disappointed’ by Schwarzenegger Comparisons

Chris Hemsworth is "disappointed" by Arnold Schwarzenegger comparisons.
The Hollywood hunk wants to be seen as more than just an action film star and rejects comparisons with the Terminator actor.
"I got asked the other day, did you always want to be the next Schwarzenegger? I was really disappointed, like I thought, you know, that I'd chosen these scripts and loved them because they had real actors in them and real story and heart, and sometimes with films the action overshadows anything else. It was at a press conference and I looked around and thought, is someone going to defend me? Please!"
Comparisons with the actor-turned-politician stem from Chris's action film track record. The 28-year-old actor - who is currently starring in The Avengers alongside Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson - believes his latest movie, Snow White and the Huntsman is "pretty dark" in parts: "It's certainly a big, summer... film, there are moments of fun and moments of action and also loads of tragedy and it's pretty dark."

Paloma Faith Wants a Christina Ricci Career
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Casting, Celeb News,
Paloma Faith wants to be a "quirky" actress. The 26-year-old singer - who made appearances in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and St. Trinians - would resort to film work if her music career didn't work out, but she admits she would need some extra lessons first.
"I'd moonlight as an actress, in Christina Ricci's roles if I wasn't a musician. I'd like to be an actress. That would be my plan B. I'd want to be cast in the sort of roles that Christina Ricci gets - quirky, avant garde and a little bit disjointed. I really loved her in Buffalo '66 and Monster. I'd probably have to look into theatre school first, though."
Paloma, however, would not find it too hard to enter the world of acting, as she used to play a lot of make-believe as a child: "When I was a child, I used to eat my dinner on the pavement outside our house in London. We didn't have a garden and there wasn't a lot of green space so my mum would put out a little table and tablecloth out on the pavement and pretend it was a restaurant. A little imagination goes a long way!"
James Van Der Beek Regrets Turning Down a Role

James Van Der Beek regrets turning down a role in Wedding Crashers.
The Dawson's Creek actor rejected the chance to audition for the part of Sack Lodge - the onscreen boyfriend of Rachel McAdams' character - in the 2005 comedy movie because he was "worried" about being portrayed in a "certain way," but he now wishes he had gone up against Bradley Cooper for the job.
"I look at some of my decisions in that time and I think, 'Why did I do that?' I turned down auditions for things I probably shouldn't have, like the role that went to Bradley Cooper in Wedding Crashers because I was worried about being seen in a certain way. In retrospect that was something of an unnecessary worry."
James felt "burned out" when he finished filming Dawson's Creek - which lasted for six seasons from 1998 to 2003 - and he was glad to have a break from his "exhausting" schedule.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Tried ‘Too Hard’ to Work with Stallone
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Action, Thrillers, Casting, Celeb News,
Arnold Schwarzenegger thinks he tried "too hard" to work alongside Sylvester Stallone in the past.
The Terminator star and the Rocky actor - who teamed up for action movie The Expendables in 2010 - are reuniting for forthcoming action-thriller The Tomb, and Arnold believes it is now an ideal time to collaborate with Sylvester.
"We worked really well together. The funny thing is we have tried, I think, our entire careers to always work together. We have talked about it for three decades and it never happened. I think we tried maybe too hard ... But now after the governorship, somehow this just fell into place," the 64 year-old former Governor of California said.
Sylvester admits the pair were "competitive" when they started their respective acting careers, but they have both now realized that teaming up with one another is beneficial: "We're just a couple of old war horses talking about the oddest subjects on the planet. I think in the beginning we were competitive - there's no question about it. A little alpha territorial. And then we realized it was good for our careers [to work together]."
Jackie Chan Plans Rush Hour 4 and Karate Kid 2

Jackie Chan is planning to star in Rush Hour 4 and Karate Kid 2.
The 58-year-old actor recently announced his latest film, Chinese Zodiac, would be his last "big action movie," but he still intends to make a fourth edition of his and Chris Tucker's 1998 motion picture Rush Hour as well as a sequel of his rebooted version of Karate Kid with Jaden Smith.
"I will ask my body how long I can go. I'm not young anymore. In the future I'll still do Karate Kid 2, Rush Hour 4," he said.
But Jackie is keen to take a break from action movies before he goes back to the big screen to show off his martial arts skills in the next "five or ten years," and will think about retiring from acting completely after he stars in a fourth Rush Hour movie: "I don't want it to happen at this moment. Probably another five or ten years. Then will be Rush Hour 4 - boom, we're coming back! And at that time I might retire. Us being old guys might make it a more interesting story. But at this moment I don't think it's something I want to do."
Scarlett Johansson: I’ve Finally ‘Made It’
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Casting, Celeb News,
Scarlett Johansson feels she has "made it" after receiving a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
The Avengers actress was recently recognized with a permanent tribute to her 20-year movie career and despite having a string of box office successes behind her, she admits it is only now she has been given the star that she feels successful.
"I was totally thrilled. I feel very nostalgic about that kind of thing. I think it's a wonderful tradition and I felt like I'd finally made it. I really did. I've been in the industry for 20 years and I've worked since I was kid, and it felt like a real milestone. Although I'm not sure where it is - I'm hoping outside one of those horrible shops on Hollywood Boulevard!"
Scarlett admits she has never wanted to be seen as a sex symbol, but is hopeful now she is getting older people will begin to think of her beyond her beauty: "I never wanted to be a sex symbol. I wanted to be a character actor. Those are the actors I often mostly admire. But I think women that are curvy can be pigeonholed in that bombshell thing. I never think of my characters that way. What can you do about it? As I get older, I think I'm seeing more multifaceted roles. I'm past the ingenue phase, which I'm very thankful for but I'm happy it's over."
