Joe Jonas wants to move into acting.
The singer has broken his silence following rumors the Jonas Brothers - the band he plays in with siblings Kevin and Nick - have split up after their Twitter account was deleted, although he refused to talk about their future and potential break-up: "I'm not going to talk about that right now ... I think acting would be fun. I would like to [get into that]."
Speculation of the band's demise has been circulating following their social networking profile being taken down, and it is said the rift has come from major musical differences. Jesse Derris, spokesperson for the boy band - who formed in 2005 - previously said, "There is a deep rift within the band. There was a big a disagreement over their music direction."
The "SOS" trio are still said to be close and on "speaking" terms, despite their US tour being cancelled following a major argument. "It's not a personal fight, it's about the music. They are brothers, they love each other. Yes, they are still speaking," a source added.

Stephen Baldwin Blames Religion for Lack of Film Opportunities
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Casting, Celebrity Gossip,
Stephen Baldwin thinks his strong religious faith has had a negative impact on his career.
The 47-year-old actor, who avoided going to jail earlier this year after reaching a deal to pay back a $350,000 tax bill in installments, believes his outspokenness about being a born-again Christian "creeped" casting directors out over the past 10 years, but hopes his new movie will turn things around for him.
The I'm in Love with a Church Girl star told Fox News, "I ran into an old friend of mine - very high-profile casting director - a couple years ago who said to me, 'Look, I just want to say I'm sorry because I've brought your name up in the room a couple times and they were like ' you've got to be kidding.' I just think that probably when somebody calls themselves born again and kind of goes out there in a pretty radically zealous way, professes their glee about that, it can creep people out. I have no regret about that, but I have chilled out a lot more because I'm a little more seasoned as a Christian believer."

Tom Hanks Doesn’t Re-Watch His Films

Tom Hanks doesn't re-watch his own films.
The 57-year-old star - who has starred in many beloved movies such as Splash, Catch Me If You Can and The Green Mile - prefers not to watch himself on screen time and time again because that "would be madness."
"Oh, I don't watch any of my old movies. I don't watch my own performances - who does that? That would be madness. I've seen all the movies once, but I don't need to see them again, because they don't change."
However, there is one film which he makes an exception for, his 1996 musical comedy That Thing You Do! which he wrote, directed and starred in as band manager Mr. White alongside Tom Everett Scott who played the film's protagonist Guy Patterson: "The one that I might watch with great affection is That Thing You Do!, which I'm not in that much. I loved doing it so much that when I watch it now it still brings a smile to my face."

Jack Nicholson Retires

Jack Nicholson has reportedly retired from acting.
The 76-year-old icon is stepping away from movies after a career spanning five decades, which has seen him appear in many iconic films including The Shining, Batman, Easy Rider and Chinatown.
"Jack has - without fanfare - retired. There is a simple reason behind his decision, it's memory loss. Quite frankly, at 76, Jack has memory issues and can no longer remember the lines being asked of him. His memory isn't what it used to be," said a Hollywood insider.
Jack's illustrious career has included three Oscar wins, two for Best Actor in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and As Good as It Gets and a Best Supporting Actor statuette for his turn in the 1983 film Terms of Endearment. Jack has previously singled out his role as The Joker in Tim Burton's 1989 version of Batman with Michael Keaton in the lead role as a personal favorite: "I was particularly proud of my performance as The Joker. I considered it a piece of pop art."

Ron Howard Didn’t Want His Kids to Act
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celeb News,
Ron Howard wasn't keen for his children to pursue acting careers.
The actor-turned-director - famous for his role as teenager Richie Cunningham in the iconic sitcom Happy Days - admitted he and his wife Cheryl moved their four children, daughter Bryce Dallas Howard, twins Jocelyn Carlyle Howard and Paige Carlyle Howard and son Reed Cross Howard away from Los Angeles so they wouldn't be lured into Hollywood.
"I'm not so crazy about them getting into the industry to be honest. It's tough, particularly for women. We even moved our kids out of Los Angeles and raised them East outside of New York City, because we just didn't want them exposed to it," he said recently.
The 59-year-old filmmaker wasn't able to keep all of his daughters out of the movie business with Bryce launching an acting career - appearing in several films, including The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and The Village - while Paige went onto win Best Supporting Actress at the 2013 Los Angeles Movie Awards for her role in The Employer.

Amanda Seyfried Worried About Rrisky ‘Lovelace’ Role

Amanda Seyfried feared her latest acting role would ruin her Hollywood career.
The 27-year-old actress appears naked in her new movie, Lovelace, in which she plays a 1970's porn star, and despite calling the experience "liberating," the blonde star believes taking on the role was a huge risk. "This is the riskiest thing that's happening in Hollywood right now. The first thing you think about is that it could ruin my career," she said.
The L' actress previously claimed that despite her initial hesitations to appear naked on the big screen, it was much easier than she thought it would be:
"It's funny, because I felt liberated when I was doing it. I'm sure people that are very protective of me wouldn't feel very comfortable with that, but it's like, what's the big deal? Growing up I was made to feel nudity was wrong because everything was always censored in movies, and it was just like, why are we covering ourselves up? It didn't seem as scary as I thought it was [going to be]. It was astonishing how quickly I was able to jump in whole-heartedly."
Tilda Swinton Is Not “Bimbo Material”
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrity Gossip,
Tilda Swinton always knew she was never going to be "bimbo material."
The 52-year-old actress - who earned the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in Michael Clayton in 2008 - struggled to get meaningful roles when she started her acting career and knew she would be "a bit off an outsider" until she got older.
"I was never going to be bimbo material. So I just kept my head down in my 20s. I had this strange instinct that I would only begin to start my real work in my 40s," she said.
Tilda has 16-year-old twins Honor and Xavier with Scottish playwright John Byrne and she admits she is a naturally lazy person and prefers to spend time at home with them than work, and she is often hassled into accepting roles: "I had my children and knew that at some point, when they were old enough, I would have more time. I am truly idle, because I would never do anything that I didn't want to do. I have some very hardy and wily representatives whose job it is to mud-wrestle me to the ground and make me work."
Selena Gomez to Appear Topless?
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrity Gossip, Rumors,
Selena Gomez wants to shed her innocent image.
The Spring Breakers actress, who recently split from her on/off boyfriend Justin Bieber for good, is reportedly open to the idea of appearing topless in a movie because she wants to show off her edgier side.
"Now that Selena is growing up to be a more serious actress and separating herself from her Disney past, she has no problem going topless if the role calls for it. Without a doubt, Selena would go topless in a film if the role was right," a source close to the 20 year-old actress said.
The multi-talented beauty has recently been focusing on her music career but said she plans to put it on hold to concentrate on movies in the future: "I'm just kind of halting music for a bit. [I've] been really focused on more acting. For me it's been fun to take risks and do things that are completely different. To be honest, maybe some of you guys might not be comfortable with it ... I'm still the same person. Things that challenge me really excite me. I'm doing another movie called The Getaway with Ethan Hawke. It's really, really exciting. So we're doing that and then hopefully another movie, but that hasn't really been confirmed yet. Then I'll start working on my fourth album, which will be the best album I'll ever do!"
Saoirse Ronan Disappointed After ‘The Hobbit’
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: MGM, New Line, Adaptation, Adventure, Sequels, Casting, Celeb News,
Saoirse Ronan felt "really disappointed" to turn down a role in The Hobbit.
The 19-year-old actress was rumored to be starring in the three part fantasy adventure, directed by Peter Jackson - whom she had previously worked with on The Lovely Bones - but decided it would be better to focus on other projects.
"There was talks about me playing the wood elf Itaril but I had to turn it down. I was really disappointed but there were other projects I had to consider and to spend a year doing The Hobbit wouldn't have left me time for anything else," she said.
The Irish star is currently filming Ryan Gosling's How to Catch a Monster, which she is finding "a bit twisted," and also has a string of other films in the pipeline. "I'm filming How to Catch a Monster, which is Ryan Gosling's writing and directing debut and it's cool, dark and a bit twisted, too. It's about an underwater town, and the struggles of the characters living in this dilapidated place. And I'm in Violet & Daisy, in which I play a hit girl. How I live Now and The Grand Budapest Hotel are all coming out in the next year. Then I'm due to play Mary Queen of Scots in a movie about her starting soon," she said.
