It’s a lot of work to maintain an online presence. When you think about it, having an original game or two a week, or other add-on DLC requires development and planning.
Microsoft took time to ramp up their offering, and really has been working at this since the original Xbox. The 360 just brought it to another level.
Nintendo hit the ground running by offer legacy games weekly, but has released limited original content outside of that.
So I think Sony is just trying to put together a strategy and get content into their pipeline. Eventually it will come together, but I think in the short term we’ll see sporadic content.
