Demi Lovato has revealed she?s bagged a guest role in Grey?s Anatomy.

The Sonny With A Chance actress - who is dating fellow Disney star Joe Jonas - posted the news on Twitter, saying: ?I?m so thrilled to announce that this week I?m shooting Grey?s Anatomy!!!!!!!! AHHH!!!!?

An hour later the 17-year-old posted another message saying Grey?s star Patrick Dempsey, aka Dr McDreamy, ?wants me to give a shoutout to you guys!?

?Ha ha ha, so awesome!? she added.

People reports that Demi will play a patient with possible schizophrenia in the hit medical drama.

Her episode is set to air in the US in May.
