Miranda Kerr Works Hard at Body

Miranda Kerr works hard to maintain her svelte figure.
The Victoria's Secret model quickly regained her amazing body following the birth of her son, Flynn, 13 months ago but admits it wasn't easy: "It's been a lot of yoga and Pilates, and eating healthily. It does take hard work."
The Australian beauty is known for following a strict organic diet and sticking to a rigorous fitness regime but admits she does sometimes treat herself: "If you want to have a little indulgence every now and then, then that's okay. Sometimes I'll feel like some dark chocolate or sometimes I'll feel like some French fries."
Miranda, 28, recently revealed how important it is for women to feel good about themselves. "I can't feel bad about being who I am, just like the girl next to me can't feel bad about being who she is. Because a rose can never be a sunflower, and a sunflower can never be a rose. I want to encourage women to embrace their own uniqueness. Because just like a rose is beautiful, so is a sunflower, so is a peony. I mean, all flowers are beautiful in their own way, and that's like women too."

Erin O’Connor Wants Tougher Model Laws
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Health & Beauty, Models,
Erin O'Connor says there must tougher laws to protect models under the age of 16.
The British supermodel - founder of the temporarily closed respite center Model Sanctuary - is supporting a group of MPs who are campaigning for model protection laws for young females in the industry:
"Back in 2007, the fashion industry had recently undergone a turbulent and reflective period which resulted in the recommendations of the Model Health Inquiry. Out of those recommendations, the decision to protect under 16-year-olds from appearing on the catwalk was one of the most impacting. It seemed to me that there was mounting pressure on both sides, not only for young models at a crucial stage in their mental and physical development, but also for some members of the wider community who look to fashion to influence their own body aesthetic. It is imperative that we continue to secure the welfare of our younger participants and we should always aim to do that in an empowered and creative way. It's for reasons such as this that I founded the model sanctuary. We aim to encourage a strong ethic of self-reliance, awareness and belief with the encouragement of our friendly and experienced team of professionals."
Rihanna’s 2am Workouts

Rihanna enjoys working out at 2am. Fitness expert Ary Nunez revealed the Bajan beauty - whom she has been working with for four years - is so dedicated to maintaining her trim figure and toned shape that she has the exercise guru on call at any time of the day in case she wants to train.
"Working with an artist like Rihanna has different demands than most. We train when she's ready...even if we're on the road and it's 2am in the morning. I'm on call 24/7 with her," she said.
During her workout sessions, the 23-year-old beauty tones her core muscles with an array of martial arts, dancing, and aerobic exercises - and Ary, who has worked with a number of celebrities, revealed the brunette singer exercises because she "loves it" rather than through necessity.
"Rihanna is so connected to her body. She used to work out because it was part of her responsibility, but now she works out because she loves it. We focus on the core muscles, and we do a ton of repetitions," she told Shape.
Diane von Furstenberg: ‘Less is More’

Diane von Furstenberg believes "less is more" with make-up.
The iconic fashion designer - who turned 65 on December 31, 2011 - thinks it is important to be sparing with facial cover ups as you get older, and she specifically believes in accentuating cheekbones: "As I get older, I've found that less is more when it comes to make up. My signature look has always been about emphasizing my cheekbones and I love Nars Multiple Bronzer. It's a great way of giving your face a mini-lift without the surgery."
Now, Diane - who has her surname thanks to her marriage to Prince Egon of Furstenberg, with whom she split in 1972 - keeps youthful with regular exercise and a healthy diet. "Although I think it's important to maintain yourself, it should be without too much labor. I love hiking and when I'm at the office I make sure I always take the stairs, even with heels on. I haven't always been an angel but I've never gone too crazy either. I live pretty cleanly, enjoy a glass of red wine every now and again. The food you eat is super-important - an unhealthy lifestyle will always catch up with you," she told Marie Claire.
Lara Stone Has Body Hang-Ups

Newlywed model Lara Stone doesn't like "most of" her body.
The Dutch 27 year-old is famed for her amazing figure, but admits she has her hang-ups and there are days when she doesn't want to leave the house because of how she's feeling.
"Most of it. It depends on the day. Like most women, I have days where I feel like today I'm not leaving the house - you know days where you've got a spot on your nose or when you've just got off a flight, eaten fish and chips and feel really bloated - that one happens a lot to me. You have to accept yourself though, and accept that there will always be something to worry about. It's much easier just to accept things," she said when asked which part of her body she isn't so keen on.
Although she isn't body confident, Lara has appeared in campaigns for many fashion houses and is one of the first models to represent so many different facets of the Calvin Klein brand, including lingerie, Calvin Klein Collection and its fragrances. "I love being part of so many elements of Calvin Klein, it's so nice to be able to be all these different women. You lose track of your identity a bit. There are many different aspects in different women and I think this is reflected in the different campaigns. All those facets are a part of me."
Jennifer Lopez Fan Kim Kardashian

Newly-engaged Kim Kardashian admires Jennifer Lopez's style. The 30-year-old star - who runs fashion chain D-A-S-H with sisters Kourtney and Khloe - admitted she is in awe of how "glamorous" the "On The Floor" hitmaker always looks.
"I'm inspired by Jennifer Lopez. I really like her style. She's really glamorous and always really well put together," Kim said.
While the reality TV beauty - renowned for her curvaceous physique - likes a "simple" looks when it comes to her style, she thinks she looks "pregnant" in unflattering, baggy styles. "My best look was a one-shoulder white dress I wore once and my hair was pulled back. It was quite simple. A baggy shift dress would make me look pregnant. It's not very flattering unless you're very skinny and tall."
Meanwhile, Kim confessed she is not against going under the surgeon's knife when she gets older, but has vowed to wait until she is 50 to properly decide whether a cosmetic procedure is right for her. "Whatever makes you happy, go with it. If it makes you happy to get some work done, go for it. My grandmother and mother have aged gracefully. I'm not against it, but I'll decide when I turn 50."

-- With her trademark red lips, it's about time a cosmetic company snatched Gwen Stefani up as their celebrity spokesperson! The singer-turned-fashion designer signed a contract with L'Oreal Paris; her full commercial will air during the Golden Globes.
-- Speaking of lips, Lindsay Lohan was spotted at the gym again (better there than at alcohol-infested locations), only this time her mouth looked detachable. I wonder if she's taking cues from her friend Kim Kardashian and blaming it on the flu...
-- Proenza Schouler released their second ever ad campaign. They're like the Givenchy ads, but with a splash of color. Thoughts?
-- If you're the least bit in love with fashion and you live in London, you ought to see Daphne Guinness speak at the Royal Academy on the 27th of the month. There's no other lecture on earth that could be greater than the psychology of clothes: "I once read an article in which a psychologist explained that, when we say we 'have nothing to wear,' it really means that we have nothing that expresses who we want to be that day," said the RA events and lectures manager Dr. Alison Bracker.

Crystal Renn Opens Up About Weight Loss, Paris

Plus-size Model Crystal Renn recently sat down to give more of an explanation as to why her weight seems to be dropping so rapidly. The 24-year-old, who had been heralded over the past year for her size 12 dress size, appeared on the catwalk for the Chanel Resort collection looking much thinner than before.
When fans of the curvy model threw up their arms and angrily typed away at their keyboards, her agent made a statement assuring fans that she was still a "solid size 10," and there was nothing more to worry over.
Renn has since appeared in a coveted Chanel campaign, as well as having walked for Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Zac Posen this past season. The more publicity the model attracts, the more people notice that she's slowly starting to lose weight again. Her answer? Exercise!
"Well, I’m so active. In the past, I avoided exercise because it brought back terrible feelings. I wasn’t ready. And I was scared that maybe I was going to be addicted again. That’s a fear that goes through your mind, whenever you’re getting over an addiction or a disease like anorexia, yeah, I absolutely was worried. But then I guess you could say my life changed in a really drastic way," she explains.

Hilary Duff Regrets Her Skinny Phase
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty, News, Rumors,
Hilary Duff regrets how thin she allowed herself to get when she was a teenager. The singer and actress paid too much attention to what other people thought of her appearance when she was younger and forced herself to keep to a strict diet of steamed vegetables and grilled chicken, even though she knew she was too thin.
"I got pretty skinny when I was between 17 and 19. At the time I was starting to become aware of what people said about me and how I looked in pictures. I regret it because I don't think I was happy then," she told Health magazine.
Hilary, now 23, said she was going through a difficult period at the time - dealing with her break-up from then boyfriend rocker Joel Madden - but eventually her now-husband, ice hockey player Mike Comrie, helped get her back on track. "It really helps to have a partner that loves everything about you and makes you feel really beautiful."
