Kim Kardashian’s Make-Up Regret
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
Kim Kardashian "hates" herself when she falls asleep wearing make-up.
The 31-year-old socialite usually takes great care of her skin, but admits she sometimes forgets to remove all her cosmetics before going to bed, which really annoys her.
"I fell asleep in my make-up two days ago. My skin was perfect and then I fell asleep with all my make-up on. I woke the next morning and was like, 'Why did I do that?' I hate myself every time I do it."
Kim - who is currently dating Kanye West - says she likes to regularly scrub her skin as well as putting sunscreen on in order to keep her looking her best: "I use Per-fekt. It's a face wash, toner and a moisturizer. I put sunscreen on afterwards and I use a scrub three times a week."
However, she admits the biggest beauty blunder she can make is not having her face match the rest of her skintone: "Sometimes your face will be too pale for your body, and that sucks."

Halle Berry ‘Hardly’ Wears Make-Up

Halle Berry "hardly ever" wears make-up.
The 45-year-old actress prefers to go for a natural look and give her skin "a break" when she is out and about, and counts a good "lip balm" as beauty must-have.
"I hardly ever wear make-up. I like to give my skin a break - let it breathe," she said.
Despite going make-up free on regular occasions, Halle admits to being a big fan of using Kinara Spa skincare products and sunscreen, as well as snubbing smoking and excessive drinking to keep her skin healthy: "It's cleansing your skin, watching what you eat, no smoking, not too much drinking, no sugar - just simple. And using sunscreen! If you don't have a good base, then it doesn't matter what you put on it - it's not going to look as great as it could."
Halle - who has four-year-old daughter Nahla - recently opted for a curly hairstyle for her latest film, The Hive, and she sees her new-look locks as a fashion accessory "like a handbag or pair of shoes."

Jude Law’s Manicure Obsession
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
Jude Law is obsessed with manicures.
The actor hates it when his nails are not neat and tidy and regularly has treatments on his hands: "I'm obsessed with nail cutting. I've had manicures. I've become a bit obsessed about my nails. Playing a sailor in the play Anna Christie, I had to shove black make-up under my nails and couldn't scrub it all out for two months - it was a nightmare. I'm proud to say that my kids come to me, not their mum, to have their nails cut."
Although Jude takes care of his appearance, he doesn't like it when men appear to have taken too much time to look good.
"Men shouldn't be too groomed. I love the ritual of getting ready for an event, but you can tell when a guy has been standing in front of a mirror for too long. Over-trimmed beards, over-styled hair, perfecting a look for hours and pretending it's effortless - do me a favor! My routine is shower, aftershave and, until recently, trimming my beard, which I've had for nearly a year for Anna Karenina."
Make-up Artist Emma Watson

Emma Watson loves doing people's make-up. The Harry Potter actress loves applying cosmetics to her friends and family and is always happy to pass her beauty tips on to them.
"I love doing make-up. I did my mum's make-up for all her job interviews and whenever I go out, I do their make-up too. My specialty? I like quite a natural look, but I do everything really. People underestimate the power of an eyebrow. I recently got my friend into penciling hers in, which she thought was such a strange concept at first," she said.
However, Emma is aware that much beauty advice contradicts other snippets of wisdom so advises people not to listen to everything they are told: "Don't listen to everyone. It's kind of overwhelming, especially with your diet and skincare. You get so many different pieces of advice, you don't know what to listen to. I think people need to judge what works for them and trust their intuition."
Sienna Miller Put Ketchup in Her Hair
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Hairstyles, Health & Beauty,
Sienna Miller used to wash her hair with tomato ketchup.
The Factory Girl actress had a disastrous experience when she applied a Henna-based color to her tresses, leading her to take drastic action to help get rid of the "green tinge" some time later.
"I've had some real hair disasters. I once used henna to dye my hair brown for an audition, thinking I was being clever because it's all natural. Little did I know it was the worst thing I could've done as it coats the follicles so nothing else can penetrate and I ended up having to put ketchup on it for about a year to get rid of the green tinge."
Sienna spends a lot of time looking after her hair because it frequently feels brittle and dry, but she insists it isn't essential to spend a lot of money to get it back in good condition: "Because I have to mess with my hair so much for work it gets pretty dry and I'm constantly looking for products to put back the moisture. Recently I've discovered Philip Kingsley's Elasticizer Pre-Shampoo Treatment, which I love. But I don't think you have to spend a fortune - the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle stuff is great."
Lily Cole Won’t Experiment with Make-up

Lily Cole doesn't like experimenting with make-up. The 23-year-old model favors a natural look and has particular products she always uses, and says the only thing she changes is her lip color.
"I like Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua foundation and go for taupe colors, a really natural look. I like products that enhance, rather than mask, your face. I don't tend to experiment a lot with make-up, I just do what I do, but I like to play with different lip colors," she said.
Lily - who has teamed up with The Body Shop for her first make-up range - particularly favors a minimal make-up look during the warmer months, but stays away from fake tan because of her naturally pale complexion: "In summer I think less is more. I like La Roche-Posay sunscreens, and use make-up with an SPF. Bronzing is tricky - it ends up looking orange on my fair skin - so I prefer a deep pink blush like Lily Cole Lip & Cheek Dome in Pinch Me Pink. You can layer it from a sheer color to a warm flush.
Mena Suvari’s Fresh Food Beauty Tip
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
Mena Suvari has great skin because she eats so much fresh food.
The American Reunion star is considered one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, and she says her beauty regime is based on diet first, then cosmetics: "My father was European so there was always fresh food in the house. People get caught up in trying to treat themselves from the outside in and it's really about what you do on the inside."
Mena lives a very healthy lifestyle and doesn't drink alcohol anymore. Instead, the 33-year-old actress prefers to spend her evenings at home relaxing: "I like staying at home. I've definitely been there, done that I don't drink anymore and I don't really go out. For me, I know what works."
Olivia Wilde Won’t Pluck Her Eyebrows
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Hairstyles, Health & Beauty,
Olivia Wilde refuses to pluck her eyebrows.
The 28-year-old actress - who is a global ambassador for cosmetics brand Revlon - says that when it comes to her face-framing brows, she prefers the natural look.
"I do not tweeze my eyebrows. I've been letting them grow out for years. I try to fill them in wherever nature has abandoned me. I've been going for a slightly lighter shade of brow color lately, with my lighter hair. I just fill in under the arch and soften them up a bit. My natural brows are quite pointy. I soften them so I look less like some evil Disney queen!"
The former brunette recently lightened her locks to blonde, but admits the coloring process has taken its toll on her hair: "I am really enjoying being a blonde. And I've also been letting my bangs grow out. [But] since the color, my hair has been a little dryer, so I have to kick it up a notch in terms of hair care."
With a hectic working schedule, Olivia relies on a simple, daily regime to keep her skin in top condition. "I just make sure to remove the makeup thoroughly at the end of the day. I usually wash my face twice. First, to remove all the makeup, and then again to really give my face a good scrub. I like to get it clean at the end of a workday on set, using a good hot towel. When I don't have to wear makeup, I don't, in order to give my skin a rest."
Helen Mirren’s Beauty Advice
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, Health & Beauty,
Dame Helen Mirren holds her stomach in to make her look good. The 65-year-old actress is often applauded for her toned midriff and says the secret behind it is to make sure she’s breathing in at all times.
“Holding your tummy in is another trick for making you look and feel good. I don’t know why, but I do, by nature, hold my tummy in.”
Although she has been happy to strip off in many movies, Helen admits she’s not entirely comfortable with her body and dresses to flatter it: “Bits of my body are all right, but bits of me are horrible. To be honest, anything from the waist down I don’t really like. Four-inch platforms give you great height and make your legs look unbelievably long. I used only to be able to get them in stripper shops, but now you can buy them everywhere - although, unfortunately, that means everyone else has discovered the trick too.”
The Oscar-winning actress also hit out designers who don’t cater for older women.“My big complaint is, why aren’t more dresses made with sleeves? I don’t want to wear a frumpy jacket over a sleeveless dress and it enrages me that it’s so difficult to find anything beautiful with sleeves. If you think of Elizabethan dresses or turn-of-the-century fashions, there are some amazing things you can do with sleeves, so why do so few designers put them on their dresses?”
Ellen DeGeneres’ Vegan Figure
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty, News,
Ellen DeGeneres credits her figure to her vegan diet.
The 52-year-old television presenter admits her youthful looks and toned physique are thanks to her long-time decision to not eat meat and avoid sugar.
“No cake, no cookies, no candy. No animals, no diary, nothing processed; a lot of soup, veggies, rice, beans, legumes. I want to be on my toes; I want to have energy. And as much as the diet seems like a sacrifice, it’s helping me.”
Ellen - who is the face of cosmetic firm CoverGirl - also says her figure comes thanks to an extreme version of yoga. She told Shape, “I first started doing power yoga in Los Angeles, which really makes no sense. It’s the opposite of what it should be. Yoga should calm down you.”
However, Ellen admits she has a tough time balancing her busy career and a healthy lifestyle: “It’s hard. But you have to make time to take care of yourself.” Although she is a fan of exercise, she has previously joked about the vibrating muscle workout trainer Shake Weight. She said, “I was playing with it yesterday. And I have to say it really works. This is working out muscles I have never worked out in my whole life.”
