Nicola FormichettiAccording to WWD, Nicola Formichetti has parted ways with Thierry Mugler "by mutual agreement" after holding his post there for two years as creative director of both men's and women's lines.

"With his talent for communication and understanding modern imagery and design, Nicola has been instrumental in attracting a new audience which is undeniably crucial for the future strategy of the house. He will be a historical part of the Mugler legacy and known as the force that catapulted us forward," Joel Palix, president of Clarins Fragrance Group and director general of Mugler, said in a statement.

There is no word yet from Formichetti, whose close relationship with Lady Gaga helped to garner attention for the brand's shows, as she not only contributed towards their soundtracks but also walked in them. Formichetti also serves as the creative director for Haus of Gaga.

As for Mugler, WWD quotes Palix as stating that the company plans "[to build] on its highly successful legacy in fragrance and its new momentum in fashion."

Keira Knightley in ChanelKeira Knightley, a favorite of Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, has been hand-picked by the designer to portray Coco Chanel for a short film in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the label's first store in Deuville, France.

Already a celebrity spokesmodel for the French fashion house - whose latest commercials for their Coco Mademoiselle fragrance sparked controversy over its provocative, sensual content - it is no surprise that Lagerfeld decided to cast the A-list film actress to bring Chanel's founder to the screen.

Though the film is planned to be shot on location in Paris, Deuville will be recreated in retro sets that reflect its "original small seaside town charm." French actress Clotilde Hesme has also been cast to play Coco's aunt Adrienne.

While the short's title has yet to be leaked, it is scheduled to premiere in Singapore in conjunction with the unveiling of Chanel's upcoming cruise collection in May.

Madonna+ This month's latest Elle cover model, Nicki Minaj did her best impression of a vapid fashion journalist humorously asking all the wrong questions to herself.

+ Madonna made a statement with her boy scouts outfit when she presented a GLAAD award to Anderson Cooper. In a nearly 12-minute long speech, the singer lashed out at the scouts organization for its gay ban.

+ Though Harmony Korine's latest film Spring Breakers doesn't even hit theaters until Friday, there has been enough buzz generated about it to get Opening Ceremony to collaborate with the filmmakers on an exclusive summer collection.

+ Kim Kardashian has been spotted in many tight-fitting outfits, despite her very pregnant state; however, the reality star was spotted at the premiere of her new movie Temptation in a chic black lace look appropriate for an expectant mother.

+ It's been rumored that Kate Upton will be covering the June issue of Vogue, which would be her first time on the front of the American fashion glossy.

Lady Gaga and Donatella VersaceLady Gaga is expecting to wear a Donatella Versace wedding dress. The pop star - who has been with Taylor Kinney since September 2011 - is reportedly keen on a design by the Italian, and asked her to create a black and gold silk gown with diamonds in the bodice.

"Gaga's spending millions on her wedding to Taylor Kinney and Donatella Versace's designing a typically over-the-top dress which on its own will cost thousands. She thinks white is cheesy and wants black and gold silk with all these crazy removable bits," a source told The Sun.

The extra "bits" include a removable skirt and train, which would then be converted into a separate gown for the ceremony. "The Edge of Glory" hitmaker and the Vampire Diaries actor have had trouble finding time for the wedding among the singer's heavy schedule but a break from recording and touring should allow a date to be set for the summer.

It's also reported they want to get married in New York to allow her grandmother Angelina Germanotta to attend.

John Galliano at Central Saint Martins

John Galliano was seen around Central Saint Martins yesterday, fueling more rumors that the former Christian Dior creative director is eyeing a teaching gig there.

A spokesperson for the school quickly denounced such gossip:

"For several years second year students from Womenswear at BA Fashion CSM have been set a project on a theme set by John Galliano ... This year the theme was the paintings of Edward Hopper. John Galliano came in to comment on the designs of 12 selected students who had earlier presented the strongest work. John Galliano does not have a teaching post at Central Saint Martins."

Victoria Beckahm

"I don't wear fake tan anymore. Sometimes I've been turned orange but that's definitely a look from my past. Being overly tanned is very aging and, dare I say it, a bit footballer's wife. Embrace your natural color!"

- Style queen and fashion designer Victoria Beckham admits that she regrets heading to the tanning booth a bit too often.

Rihanna

Don't worry - you do not have vision problems.

Rihanna is, in fact, wearing one pair of pants designed with two tops. To celebrate her recent venture into the world of fashion design, the popstar threw a party for the launch of her collection for River Island and showed up wearing this interesting look. Though the white crop top with jeans fittingly ring in springtime fashion, her plain black sandals are a little too casual for the 24 year-old fashionista we have come to know and love. Is Rihanna's look refreshing or in need of restyling?

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss in 'Catching Fire'+ Fans of The Hunger Games and those with an affinity of couture gowns were excited to see the gorgeous dress Jennifer Lawrence sported in promotional images released for the film last week. Costume designer Trish Summerville spilled the beans on the designer of the dress, who is an Indonesian designer named Tex Saverio.

+ After recently verbally attacking Duchess Catherine over her lack of recycling clothes, fashion designer Vivienne Westwood has now targeted First Lady Michelle Obama, calling her style "dreadful."

Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2013The feud between Hedi Slimane and New York Times critic Cathy Horyn continues, as the Saint Laurent fashion designer banned her again from his show in Paris.

Unfortunately for Slimane, the slight downside to an age where a show's images are immediately uploaded onto the internet for all to see is the fact that it helps someone like Horyn to be able to critique the show without having been there.

Horyn began with lambasting Slimane's decision to remove "Yves" from the label's name - something that had previously caused many raised eyebrows in the fashion world: "One of the first things the new designer, Hedi Slimane, did was to remove “Yves” from the label, thereby severing a symbolic connection to the founder, and everything he stood for, like good taste and feminine power."

She then went on to blast the clothes, which she pointed out were disliked by others, too: "Many people said the clothes looked like stuff sold at Topshop or a thrift store, while others defended Mr. Slimane’s approach and identified pieces, like a pink fur chubby, that relate back to Yves’s designs of the late ’60s and early ’70s, when he got ideas — say, for a pea coat — from the street. It’s doubtful that customers will make that connection, but such comments serve to validate what Mr. Slimane has done."
