OOMS Memory Sticks OOMS, a furniture and interior design company in the Netherlands, is certainly geared towards saving the planet. They have designed wooden memory sticks made from real branches literally picked up in the woods. Each is handmade and can be personally engraved when ordered in lots of 50 or more. Choose between a 1GB for 50 EUR (~$68.00,) 2GB for 55 EUR (~$75.00,) or 4GB for 60 EUR (~$81.00.) The company also created a solar powered birdhouse that can act as an outside nightlight as well as a bug attractor.

Scilley Custom Turntables

Joel Scilley certainly knows how to make a mean custom turntable. Some are his designs, but he also custom makes ones from others’ plans. All of them feature an Origin Live DC motor controller and quality bearings and are made with redwood burl, walnut and other wood. Featured at the recently opened FiveTen Studio in Oakland, the Audiowood turntables are all available for sale and Joel can also create audio devices such as speakers, racks and stands.

iPhone Coffee Table With Coasters

iPhone Table Some people are really obsessed with their iPhones. Tuan Nguyen, Ken Thomas and a few buds got together to create this unique coffee table in the shape of the Apple phone. The iLounge members made the furniture out of corrugated wood and glue. They also made built-in coasters out of the icons. We like the design and figure we can put it alongside our Pacman Living Room Set in the room with the Super Mario Wall Decals.

Tengu Remember Tengu, the USB toy/buddy that reacts to sound? Mr. Jones recently contacted us to let you know that there is now an updated version with five new faces, now at a price of £19.95 ($30.00.) The luxurious wooden PAPPA*Phone works as a Skype phone for both PC and Mac by using its USB adapter. Handmade in Montreal, it is plug-and-play and can work with other VoIP services such as iChat, GoogleTalk, etc. for both PC and Mac. Created by Hulger and handmade in Montreal, it has a handset cord length of 1.5m. Expect a 6 to 8 week delay while your phone is being created and a designer price of $300.00.

BLOK Wooden iPod Speaker System

The BLOK iPod Speaker System is made of a hand-crafted wooden cabinet on the outside for what manufacturer Revo claims is “fundamental in achieving BLOK’s rich, natural sound.” It has NXT’s Balanced-Radiator loudspeaker technology, 40W digital audio, and comes with a remote known as KONTROL. The system is compatible with all iPods with included adapters, and it charges while it acts as a dock. Find it for a price £199.00 (~$321.00.)

There are wooden speakers and environmentally correct ones, but what if you could combine the two? That’s exactly what Woodchuck’s Woodgrain iPod/Laptop Speakers do. Available in both light and dark models, the speakers are surrounded in heavy duty cardboard and arrive flat. DIY and can they make you look hot without damaging your budget. We found the semi-recyclable devices available for only $13.50 a pair. We figure if the outsides wear out, you can use them as a pattern to make new ones with that leftover shoebox you couldn’t quite throw away.
