Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Artist News, Concerts / Tours, Rock,

MorrisseyMorrissey was attacked on stage as he kicked off his North American tour last night.

The former Smiths frontman performed at San Jose's City National Civic and was mobbed by fans during a stage invasion at the end of the show, after a number of people from the audience went up to hug the star. He ignored them and carried on singing "One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell" until fans started slamming into him and he cut the show off mid song after he was knocked down.

The 54-year-old singer, who was helped backstage by security, played a 20-song set before the interruption after a number of tour postponements due to ill health. Morrissey was told by doctors to take it easy after suffering from a bleeding ulcer, double pneumonia and a throat condition in January last year.

He is now back to his best and debuted three new songs during last night's gig - "The Bullfighter Dies," "Earth Is The Loneliest Planet" and the title track from his forthcoming album, "World Peace Is None Of Your Business."

The 31-year-old beauty was hit by a mysterious white powder - later discovered to be cooking flour - while promoting her new perfume at The London Hotel in West Hollywood last night, and while she had to be ushered into a room to clean herself, she admits she is not upset.

"I'm fine. You have to laugh it off! I brushed off and came right back out," she told E! News. Kim also confirmed she would not be pressing any charges over the incident.

Although the People for Ethical Treatment for Animals (PETA) are best known for their flour-bomb attacks on fur wearers, the campaign group have denied any involvement - although say they hope she can learn something from it.

"PETA has tried everything from polite letters to public protests, but Kim Kardashian has not been moved by the news that animals are beaten, electrocuted, and even skinned alive for real fur garments. Whoever threw that flour may reach her when our polite appeals did not," a representative told TMZ.

Kim KardashianKim Kardashian has been flour-bombed on the red carpet.

The 31-year-old reality star was promoting her new fragrance True Refection at The London Hotel in West Hollywood on Thursday night when an unidentified woman pelted her with white powder.

Dressed in a black blazer, leather trousers and an electric blue blouse, Kim's hair and entire back were covered by what firefighters later found to be cooking powder. According to TMZ.com, security guards took her to a private room where she brushed herself down before choosing to return to the event.

"That probably is the craziest, unexpected, weird thing that ever happened to me. Like I said to my makeup artist, I wanted more powder and that's a whole lot of translucent powder right there," Kim told E! News.

But little sister Khloe, 27, does not find the incident quite so funny. "I wish I was with my sister tonight. I bet you that woman wouldn't have dared tried a thing ...," she wrote on her Twitter.

Nicole Farhi feared death during attack

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers, News,

Nicole Farhi attackNicole Farhi thought she was going to die when she was mugged outside her home. The French fashion designer - who was choked until she was unconscious during the attack in London in April last year - made the admission yesterday as she gave evidence in the trial of one of the men accused of robbing her.

She said at London’s Wood Green Crown Court: “I walked quickly to my front door. Then I heard some footsteps. The footsteps were very fast and then one hand came onto my eyes and the other onto my throat. He squeezed and I fainted. My last thought was, how stupid to die in front of my house.”

The 62-year-old designer claims she woke up to find the men were taking her £8,000 wedding ring and trying to remove her Rolex watch. The watch had been Nicole’s father’s. When she heard the two men speaking her native French she begged to be allowed to keep the timepiece. She said: “I asked for my watch back because it had sentimental value. I was frightened, obviously. I said to them, ‘Don’t cut me with this knife,’ in French. I said, ‘Don’t cut me, don’t cut me.’ I started speaking louder and louder and they said, ‘Let’s go’, because I was speaking too loud.”

Hearing her speaking, Nicole’s husband Sir David Hare came to the door of their home. He followed the men and was able to note down the registration of the vehicle they used to escape. It is alleged brothers Matthew and Daniel Mykoo performed robberies together in wealthy areas of London between March and June last year. It is claimed Daniel would choke the pair’s victims from behind until they passed out while Matthew held a knife. Matthew would then steal jewellery and other valuables. Matthew, 27, has admitted two counts of robbery but pleaded not guilty to 16. Daniel has admitted 16 counts. The trial of Matthew continues.

Simon Cowell’s ex Terri Seymour attacked

Terri Seymour attacked‘s ex-girlfriend, Terri Seymour, was been attacked by a 200 pound woman outside the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Terri was reportedly assaulted outside the Theater, where Simon’s TV show American Idol was filmed, on Tuesday. Police allege Janice Thibodeaux, 33, approached Terri and asked her if she was still dating Simon - who she split from last November after a six-year relationship - before attempting to choke her.

Los Angeles officers, who reportedly witnessed the altercation, then arrested Janice - who was reportedly “twice Terri’s size” - on felony battery charges. Her bail was set at $52,703 bail. Terri, 34, and Simon reportedly split over his refusal to have children - the same reason he parted ways with former pop star Sinitta, who had a 1986 hit with ‘So Macho’. Simon’s mother Julie said at the time: “Simon has a right to his own life, we all do, but Terri wanted a baby and things didn’t work out. The split was really based on the fact that she wanted a baby and to get married.”
