Lindsay Lohan Impresses Rehab Staff

Lindsay Lohan has become a model patient in rehab.
The 26-year-old actress - who is in the midst of a 90-day court-ordered stint in rehab after pleading "no contest" to lying to police about driving during a car crash last June - has wowed staff at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California, with her new positive attitude and has been attending all of her group and one-on-one counseling sessions.
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that the Liz & Dick star, who is in rehab for the sixth time, is taking her treatment seriously and has told friends that she is learning a lot about self-control and how to deal with reckless impulses. Lindsay, who is sharing a room with two roommates, has also admitted that although the program is getting more complicated and emotional, she is not shying away. She told friends that she is happy to have roommates because she doesn't want to be alone and is getting on well with both of them.

Amanda Bynes’ Parents Want Conservatorship

Amanda Bynes' parents are trying to get her placed under a conservatorship.
The She's The Man actress has worried her parents Rick and Lynn so much with her bizarre recent antics that they visited several lawyers in a bid to sign over all legal, medical and financial control of her affairs to an external party. The troubled star was booked for drug possession on Thursday evening when police visited her New York City apartment after receiving a report of a disorderly person. Amanda - who was spotted smoking a joint in the lobby and behaved erratically throughout the incident - was taken to hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, before being arrested for criminal possession of marijuana, as well as reckless endangerment and felony tampering with evidence when she attempted to throw a bong out of the window.

Charlie Sheen Allegedly Back on Drugs

Charlie Sheen is allegedly back on drugs.
The Anger Management star - who has been in rehab five times and last hit the headlines for his erratic behavior in 2011 - has reportedly been spending up to $2,000 a day on cocaine over the past eight months.
"For at least the last eight months or so Charlie has been having a quarter to half an ounce of cocaine delivered to him every single day and was spending nearly $2,000 a day on drugs. Sometimes he'd even get two to three quarters of cocaine in one day," a source said.
The 47-year-old former Two And A Half Men actor - who is a father-of-five - is also said to be spending a huge amount of money on prostitutes and allegedly even paid for one of his favorite girls to undergo cosmetic surgery and bought her a new car.

White House Crasher, Real Housewife Kicked out of Celebrity Rehab
Michaele Salahi, one of the Real Housewives of D. C. and one of the alleged White House gate crashers who showed up at a Presidential party sans invitation, has just been kicked out of Celebrity Rehab.
TMZ reports that Michaele was booted from the treatment facility for one simple reason: she’s not an addict. It’s unknown whether or not she’ll appear in any scenes of the fifth season of the show, which is currently in production. Other rumored cast mates for Celebrity Rehab 5 include Lindsay’s father Michael Lohan, Baywatch’s Jeremy Jackson and Michaele’s husband Tareq Salahi.

Michael Lohan Joins Rehab Cast, Lindsay Shocked

Dr. Drew Pinsky has stated that he wouldn’t want to treat Lindsay Lohan on his reality series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, but he’ll lend a helping hand to dad Michael Lohan next season. Reportedly, Michael has joined the cast and started taping... and sources say Lindsay is “upset” and “shocked.”
TMZ reports that Michael Lohan began filming the show without even telling his famous daughter, though she’s certainly got enough on her mind already.
The rest of the Celebrity Rehab cast is rumored to include Tareq and Michaele Salahi (the couple who allegedly crashed the White House), former Mets pitcher Dwight “Doc” Gooden, Chinese-American actress Bai Ling (The Crow, Anna and the King), Jeremy Jackson (Baywatch) and Michael Lohan.

Gwyneth Paltrow ran into some obstacles while trying to identify with her character in Country Song.
"I just couldn't understand how you could be so drunk that you could wreck people's lives and then wake up the next day and pretend everything was fine," she said.
Gwyneth revealed how she prepped for the film in a recent interview.
Paltrow wanted real insight into addiction, and how it affects the user as well as those around them. So, she went to someone with real life experience: Iron Man co-star Robert Downey, Jr.
“He was really articulate about addiction and the psychology behind it. He really helped me a lot.”

Dr. Drew Wouldn’t Treat Lindsay Lohan for Addiction

Dr. Drew Pinsky has handled sex addiction, drug abuse and some of the most entitled celebrities ever to grace reality TV … but he’s not anxious to help Lindsay Lohan overcome her substance abuse problems.
“The only way I would take her is if she would agree to stay in treatment for one year,” he said in a recent interview with Popeater.
But Linds isn’t alone. Dr. Drew says he’d need the same amount of time with Charlie Sheen. “I do think my team could really help them in a special way, TV or not TV, but they need longer term,” he explained.
Dr. Drew is currently being featured on the fourth season of Celebrity Rehab, which airs on VH1. Last week on that program, actor Jeremy London talked about the alleged kidnapping and forced drug abuse inflicted upon him. This week, fans are expecting to watch Janice Dickinson blow up at the staff and/or other patients … again.

Email Addict Lindsay Lohan

In addition to the drugs and alcohol, Lindsay Lohan is being treated for an addiction to email.
The Machete actress - who voluntarily entered into a substance abuse program at the Betty Ford Clinic in Los Angeles late last month - has reportedly had her phone usage cut, with staff also urging her to reduce the amount of time she spends on social networking websites.
“Lindsay is only allowed to use her phone for two hours a day, and only to keep in touch with family and close friends. Before, she would repeatedly and compulsively email her friends if she was ever in a situation where she felt lonely, and she would vent on Twitter,” a source said.
The policy has been implemented so Lindsay can “concentrate on herself” during therapy. Lindsay is due in court on October 22 for a probation hearing, after she failed two drugs tests last month.

My Struggle With Facebook Addiction

To the artist, distractions are all too familiar. Often times rearing their ugly head under clever guises to fool you. The Victorian poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson, Lady of Shallot, symbolized the quandary that writers and others of a creative nature face - to watch the world or to live within it. It used to be that the most prevalent form of distraction to the creator came in the form of booze, drugs, and other destructive vices. However, in the digital age distractions invade our personal space with the dexterity of pop up ads. Charming and inviting as they may be, submitting to these distractions sends productivity packing back to the assembly lines.
As I sit here writing this in between drags of a cigarette, I can’t help but think about all the distractions that come to light when working day in and day out on a computer. The main culprit (besides philosophy and smoking) is none other than Facebook (dun dun dunnn!). I’m sure there are more than a few of you out there that have fell prey to the time consuming nature of the social networking phenomena. To remedy my ailment I even went so far as to deactivate my Facebook. But it was short lived.

Jesse James Enters Rehab, Hides from Nazi Pic

Sandra Bullock‘s estranged husband - who has allegedly cheated on the Oscar-winning actress with at least four other women - is believed to have checked himself into a rehabilitation center to receive treatment for sex addiction.
Jesse James’ representative confirmed he had been admitted to a facility, but refused to specify where he was staying or what he was receiving help for.
The rep told People: “Jesse checked himself into a treatment facility to deal with personal issues. He realized that this time was crucial to help himself, help his family and help save his marriage.” A source added that it was “100 percent his own idea.”
