Segatoys Private Ocean
Segatoys’ new Private Ocean features their popular Healing Motion therapy as well as three other modes. The gadget plays soothing music while more than 100 underwater creatures swim around. It also displays the time fish style and you can hook up your MP3 player, adjust the light that varies between 4 different colors, and boogie to such tunes as “Under the Sea,” ala the Little Mermaid and Sebastian the crab. At a size of 190 x 118 × 91mm, run the Private Ocean by its AC adapter and hook up earphones for some private time through its 3.5mm stereo mini-jack. So far only available in Japan, the MSRP is $199.99.

Looks very interesting, would be nice to have next to the bed on the nights you cannot sleep. I am sure it will relax you. I want one, but the price?! Ill go back to counting the pins on processors xP

I don’t know how large the market for this thing is, but I would never even consider buying it. If I really need something like that I’ll get a $50 CTR TV and leave it on Discovery or something.

Well, it looks really soothing and everything, but there is no way that I would ever pay $199.99 for something like this. I can find other less expensive ways to relax! I expect this to be a niche market only.

I have seen things similar to this. its nice for a decoration, and maybe a few minutes to relax, but not something that i would use to relax me constantly. Its different in that it you can hook up your MP3 player up to it now that I havent seen on any other one. i like that there are a variety of color to choose and entertaining to watch.

$200 for this is very expensive, considering i can get the same results by staring at a lava lamp lol
