Sandra Bullock Gets Extremely Loud?

Sandra Bullock winning her Oscar is in negotiations to star in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

The 46-year-old star, who this year won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in , is in talks alongside Tom Hanks to star in the project, an adaptation of the 2005 dramatic novel by Jonathan Safran Foer.

If Bullock signs on to star in the movie, it will be her first film since her Academy Award-winning performance. The film tells the tale of an intelligent nine year old - who has yet to be cast in the Stephen Daldry-directed project - who begins searching for a lock to match a key given to him by his father prior to his death in the New York terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Bullock and Hanks would play the child’s parents in the movie, which if locked would see them filming in January 2011. Screenwriter Eric Roth has adapted the book, which being lined up to produce.

Daniel Craig Joins Dragon Tattoo Remake

Daniel CraigDaniel Craig is now officially attached to the remake of .

The Casino Royale star will play journalist Mikael Blomkvist in the adaptation of the Stieg Larsson novel. He’ll begin work on the film in Sweden after wrapping up Jon Favreau’s Cowboys and Aliens.

Director David Fincher and producer Scott Rudin have not yet announced which actress will play opposite Craig as Lisbeth Salander. Possible names have included Ellen Page, Mia Wasikowska and Rooney Mara.

The U.S. version of Tattoo is expected to hit theaters in December 2011, with possible sequels - and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest - to follow.

Craig has plenty of time on his hands since production on the 23rd James Bond film has been suspended indefinitely due to financing problems at MGM.

Jesse Eisenberg, who will play the site’s founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and Andrew Garfield, who will portray co-founder Eduardo Saverin (he later had a fallout with Zuckerberg over money).

Kevin Spacey has signed on as executive producer while Scott Rudin, Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and Cean Chaffin will produce. Filming is set to start next month in Boston and later move to Los Angeles.

Cate Blanchett: The Benjamin Button actress will be paired with a new leading man for her next feature. Blanchett was recently tapped to replace Sienna Miller in the latest version of the Robin Hood tale. Cate will star as Maid Marian opposite Russell Crowe’s Robin of Loxley. The movie, previously titled Nottingham, will be helmed by by Crowe’s favorite director, Ridley Scott.
