Dakota Fanning Cast in ‘Very Good Girls’

Dakota FanningDakota Fanning is in negotiations to star in Very Good Girls.

The Secret Life of Bees actress could star alongside Anton Yelchin and Elizabeth Olsen in the directorial debut of Naomi Foner. The film tells the tale of two girls who have been best friends for life but decide they want to lose their virginity before they graduate high school. However, their relationship sours when they both fall for the same boy.

"The film deals with female sexuality and friendship in a way we haven't seen before. These girls will be stunning young girls in a couple of years, but they've struggled through high school with only each other. Most of us have been there. This is the summer where they finally get to touch real life," Naomi said, commenting on the film.

Very Good Girls is set to shoot in New York City in June.

Quote of the Day: Kristen Stewart on Groping Dakota Fanning

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning in The Runaways

“She was 15, and I wasn’t allowed to grope her… I’m actually not kidding, there are major restrictions that I don’t remember [from] when I was younger… I don’t want to give anything way. It’s a really passionate, hardcore scene… No, it’s just a kiss. It’s not really a big deal.”

-, 19, talking about a scene she shares with underage Runaways co-star Dakota Fanning.

First Look: KStew and Dakota Rock Out in The Runaways

We’ve seen Kristen Stewart get into character as Joan Jett for the biopic The Runaways—now we actually get to see her flex those vocal chords in the teaser trailer for the film.

The atypical coming-of-age story focuses on Joan Jett’s relationship with band mate Cherie Currie, played by Stewart’s New Moon co-star . While there is no release date as of yet, the movie is expected to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Are you buying Stewart’s and Fanning’s portrayals of the teenage rockers?

Volturi Profiled in New Moon Pics

New Moon

In these photos released by Summit Entertainment, we’re finally getting a chance to see those other vampires: the Volturi of Volterra.

It probably would have been hard to look away from Taylor Lautner’s new physique, it it wasn’t for those piercing red eyes. Thanks to specially-crafted eyewear, you too could look as intimidating as the normally-angelic (Jane).

“They’re all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts,” director Chris Weitz told People. “They’re opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can’t really see into them. There’s something terribly off-putting about it.” (Ya think?)
