Fujitsu Recalls Batteries
In the seemingly never-ending bad battery crisis, Fujitsu has joined the ranks of Dell, Apple, Toshiba, IBM, and Lenova, and have recalled over 287,000 units. So far, the total recall amount is more than 7.5 million since August, leaving us to wonder when Sony itself will follow suit. Sony claims that the batteries can “short-circuit on rare occasions, overheat, and catch fire.”
Virgin Atlantic has gone as far as implementing restrictions of Dell and Apple notebooks on their flights. No doubt other airlines will do likewise. We think that if you have a Sony laptop, you should be a little nervous right about now.
