Audition Dates for So You Think You Can Dance Season 6

UPDATE: It’s been confirmed. Season 6 will air this fall shortly after Season 5’s summer run.

Even though we are still a week away from the fifth season premiere of , audition dates for Season 6 have already been announced. (Does this mean we’ll be seeing two installments a year like Dancing with the Stars? Please??)

At this time only four cities have been announced, but additional locales are expected:

  • May 28: Boston, MA
  • June 1: Atlanta, GA
  • June 12: Los Angeles, CA
  • July 24: Salt Lake City, UT

More information can be found on the show’s website. Those who’d rather watch and not perform should tune in Thursday, May 21 when the series kicks off its summer run.

American Idol 8: Salt Lake City Auditions

Salt Lake City, Utah is now synonymous with Idol runner-up . The American Idol judges struck gold in the city last year, but would the auditions be as promising two seasons in a row?

The SLC episode of opened with David Osmond, 19, yes one of the famous Osmonds, who lives in Utah. He’s a good-looking, clean cut guy with a bit of his own sad story. Despite belonging to a famous family, Osmond’s life isn’t all sunshine. He, like his father, suffers from the very debilitating disease MS. You’d never know it to see him at his audition, however. Osmond has a nice voice, if his song was a bit over-done. Paula Abdul advised him to “start thinking of yourself as one solo artist.” Osmond emerged from the audition room with golden ticket in hand.

Salt Lake City was off to a running start.

High School Musical 3 To Begin Shooting This Month

High School Musical 3Talk about a dream come true for fanatics who just happen to attend East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The third installment of the wildly successful   original made for TV movie is set to begin shooting before the end of this month according to the Associated Press.

The two previous High School Musical films were shot primarily at East High School outside of the school year. School district officials say most of the shooting on this film, High School Musical 3: Senior Year, will take place before and after classes to minimize disruptions for actual East High School students.
