Project Runway: Season 4: ‘Raw Talent’

What is the polar opposite of high fashion? I’m guessing professional wrestling after watching tonight’s episode of Project Runway on Bravo. Tonight’s challenge had the six remaining designers creating a look for the Divas of WWE. (That stands for World Wrestling Entertainment for the uninitiated.)
This challenge took the lingerie and figure skating challenges of seasons past to a whole new and tackier level. You don’t need a degree from Parsons to know that under the best of circumstances it is hard to make spandex, stretchy lace and rhinestones classy or wearable.
Despite the violence they inflict in the ring, the Divas of WWE seem like fairly nice gals. They requested outfits that best showcased their wrestling alter egos… like the sexy tomboy or sexy gold digger or my favorite: the classy sexpot.

WWE RAW Reflections (11/5)

This weeks edition of WWE Monday Night RAW featured the much-hyped “one night only” (yeah, right) return of DX, as well as an appearance by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The WWE has kind of kicked the RAW storylines that have been running since Cyber Sunday to the curb in favor of this “novelty” episode. Never the less, I suppose it has been one of the more anticipated shows in recent memory. The most disappointing thing to me? It is pretty obvious that Chris Jericho will not be making his return for another couple weeks - it would make no sense to have him debut before Survivor Series.
Join me after the jump for more RAW thoughts, including the Santino/”Stone Cold” showdown.

WWE RAW Reflections (10/22)

Another one bites the dust on WWE Monday Night RAW. And once again it is a member of the main event RAW roster who goes down with an injury. Poor Candice Michelle. After raving about her abilities last week in my RAW reflections, the sexy women’s division main eventer went down mid-match with an injury. Even so, she still had one of the best matches on this week’s RAW. In my opinion, the Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix best two out of three falls match for the WWE Women’s Championship was the best match of the night. The crowd seemed to be way into it, it was faced pace and the wrestling was solid - it was one of the best women’s match-ups I’ve seen in a long time. And then it happened. Candice climbed to the top turnbuckle and Phoenix hit the ropes, obviously trying to “crotch” Candice in the corner. Instead, it seemed Candice blew the spot, slipping on the ropes, twisting slightly and landing face and shoulder first into the canvas.
Read more about Candice’s injury, the next SAVE_US.222 teaser and Shawn Michaels after the jump.
