Will ABC Family’s Pilot Make It?

ABC Family used the sweet spot behind Secret Life to premiere its new family drama, , Monday night. This gymnastics-focused series details the life of young gymnasts attending a special Olympics training facility.

Three females led the first scene: Payson Keeler (Ayla Kell), who never looks too far ahead; Kaylie Cruz (Josie Loren), who can’t wait to pig out after the competition is over, and Lauren Tanner (Cassie Scerbo), who wants to enjoy a jet setter’s life.

Soon, the Coach was talking seriously of their future, saying that only three would go on to the top. New gymnast Emily then made her appearance, shaking up the top three set of girls who were introduced earlier.

Secret Life Premieres Season 2

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Drama, Prime Time, ABC, Cable, Gossip, Renewals, Video,

After a brief recap of season one, showed Amy Juergens (Shailene Woodley) struggling to care for her newborn son while doing chores around the house and attending school. The teen mother is now living with just her mother Anne (played by Molly Ringwald), who will definitely be pregnant in this season. The actress was expecting twins before filming began, so there was no way to continue her story without including a new baby.

It was just serendipity that the second season of the show opened with the same theme as the first - pregnancy. But this time, it’s the mother and not the daughter who is expecting.

Lindsay Lohan Goes Straight to Basic Cable

“For once my life doesn’t suck.” - in Labor Pains.

She may have been let go early from her job on ABC, but Lohan is still good enough for ABC Family. It was just announced that the last movie the 22-year-old has filmed will not be hitting the big screen as originally planned. Later this July, Labor Pains will avoid a straight-to-DVD label and premiere on the basic cable channel first.

In the comedy, Lohan stars as Thea, an employee who lies about being pregnant to avoid termination. (ABC Family loves a good pregnancy storyline.) Be sure to also keep out an eye out for . The American Idol 5 contestant plays Greg, one of Thea’s coworkers.
