Pop singing Prince has been known for years as having somewhat interesting vocals, crazy fashion sense, and a penchant for rather shocking behavior. It seems only natural that he should partner on stage with Paris Hilton, whose scanty wardrobe is often enough to distract fans from her rather lackluster singing. According to Us magazine, Prince was ready to ignite the stage at Club 3121 at the Rio in Las Vegas less than one week ago today. This is one of the stops on Prince’s latest “comeback” tour, and he crooned to a huge crowd that included Hilton before pointing her out and inviting her to join him on stage. Paris, always elated to be in the spotlight, was quick to join him for a duet. Reportedly, Prince handed Paris the microphone before smiling at the crowd, “Let’s see if she can really sing.” Paris, enraged, stormed off stage and left the club shortly thereafter. So far, the story is not being confirmed by Hilton reps, and Prince’s people are maintaining “no comments” to the media. Did it happen? Does it matter?
