Friday Ratings: CBS Down But Still on Top

Although CBS didn’t see Ghost Whisperer-sized numbers, the network’s sports coverage did rally enough viewers to topple the competition.
8pm
- The NCAA basketball tournament (8.4 million, 2.9/9 in 18-49) was down 1 million from Thursday.
- Wife Swap (4.9 million, 1.6/6) picked up 400,000.
- Howie Do It (3.9 million, 1.0/4) slipped by 400,000.
- Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (3.7 million, 1.3/5) added on 200,000.
- Everybody Hates Chris (1.6 million, 0.6/2) gave up 200,000; The Game (1.7 million, 0.7/2) fell by 400,000.

- Supernanny (5.3 million, 1.6/5 in 18-49) and Dollhouse (4.1 million, 1.5/5) were both off by 200,000.
- Friday Night Lights (3.8 million, 1.2/4) was sacked by 600,000.
- America’s Next Top Model* (1.4 million, 0.6/2) tumbled by a 1/2 million.
10pm
- 20/20 (6.6 million, 1.8/6 in 18-49) raised 1.4 million.
- Dateline (6.1 million, 1.7/6) also nailed down another 1.4 million.
