The previous record in the game was held by Chris Paul who had 17 assists in 2007. Wall provided many alley-oop passes to his fellow rookies, including Griffin who finished with 14 points, as well as former Wall teammate at Kentucky, DeMarcus Cousins, now with the Sacramento Kings accumulated an impressive 33 points and 14 rebounds.
