Arrested Development season 4 now available on Netflix

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Home Entertainment, Internet,
Just a quick PSA: Netflix has released the fourth season of Arrested Development earlier this morning. That means that you can spend the rest of your Memorial Day weekend enjoying the long-awaited final chapter in the story of the Bluth family. It's taken seven years to get here, so we won't blame you if you go on a bit of a binge, powering through all 15 episodes. Arrested Deelopment aired on Fox between 2003 and 2006, and was one of those shows plagued by low ratings, which later developed a massive following through DVD sales. Due to the increased popularity and demand from the fans, Netflix snapped up the rights, making it the newest Netflix Original.
iOS 7 to see radical redesign making it ‘black, white, and flat all over’

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Smartphones, Rumors, Software,
Apple is set to reveal iOS 7 at WWDC in two weeks, and sources have provided details on radical interface changes made to Apple's mobile device software. 9to5Mac reports that Jony Ive, Apple Senior Vice President of Industrial Design (in charge of both Apple hardware and software design,) has led the charge in giving iOS an entirely fresh coat of paint.
People familiar with the matter are describing iOS 7 as "black, white, and flat all over." In other words, the skeuomorphic textures are going away in favor of a new black and white interface that does away with a lot of the over-the-top shininess and glossiness.
For the upcoming operating system, which Apple says will be unveiled at its June Worldwide Developers Conference, Ive has not simply picked areas of the software design to tweak. He has essentially made his mark on every corner of the operating system, according to descriptions from sources, all while mostly keeping the essence of what has made iOS so ubiquitous.

Marvel working on Ms. Marvel, Blade reboot scripts

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Marvel Comics,
While negotiations with Robert Downey, Jr. about returning for Iron Man 4 and more Avengers movies have proven to be challenging, Marvel continues to plan for an immense branching out of its comic book adaptation films. According to The Hollywood Reporter:
Marvel has a writing program it uses as a concept generator and has scripts for Blade and Ms. Marvel features, for example. Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Black Panther and The Runaways are other projects on the horizon. The company slowly has been reacquiring licenses to characters it lost during the 1990s, snapping up Blade, Ghost Rider, Power Man and Daredevil in the past year alone.
A Ms. Marvel movie has us excited, mostly because superhero movies that are centered on women are very few and far between. A new and improved Blade reboot would be welcome as well.

Xbox One storage is expandable with external hard drives

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Microsoft, Storage, Video Games,
The Xbox One will ship with a 500GB internal hard drive, and we've found out that the drive is "locked" inside the console. In other words, unlike the Xbox 360, users are not able to swap out the Xbox One hard drive for a larger unit. What happens if you run out of space, then? After all, the Xbox One will install every game to the hard drive, and the games are definitely going to be bigger now that they'll be on Blu-ray.
Luckily, the solution is easy. Microsoft included USB 3.0 on the Xbox One, and says that you can connect an external hard drive to the console, and it can be used for everything that the internal hard drive can be used for. So go ahead and grab an external terabyte or two and load up--adding extra storage is as simple as plugging it in.
