Albatron Technology Tee Mini-Tablet

Russia’s Albatron Technology is entering the computer market with its first Tee PC. The mini-tablet comes with all the hard and software you need, including an adapter, a stylus, and docking station. Running on Windows CE 6.0, it has a software-based keyboard but will also support a USB alternate. At a size of 18.8x11.3x 1.3 cm and a weight of 343 grams, it has a 0.3/1.3M swivel cam, included internal speakers, SD Card slot, and has 128 MB of Nand flash and 128MB of SO-DIMM DDR memory. CBS Reveals Cast of Amazing Race 13

For The Amazing Race‘s next season, CBS will be taking viewers on a whole new set of adventures. Adventures not yet seen even after 12 installments of the Emmy-award winning series.

Although we’ll still get what we have come to know and love - 11 teams, five continents, 30,000 miles of travel - the producers of the reality hit promise us that Season 13 will be like no other.

Where can we expect Phil Keoghan to take us this year? After starting in Los Angeles, the duos will travel to Brazil, Bolivia, Russia and India. The crews will also hit Cambodia (where they visit a “real-life water world”) and Kazakhstan for the very first time.

Moscow Fair Caters to the Wealthy

We still enjoy seeing what those who have, buy, when it comes to electronics. After New York, it has been determined that Moscow has the highest concentration of millionaires. Hence, Quintessentially Russia, a concierge service, was born and its now second annual Moscow Millionaire Fair has just taken place. For an annual fee of £2,500 (~$5,100.00,) the company will provide almost anything, as long as it is legal. They offer such extreme gadgets as a diamond-encrusted Mercedes, a £125,000 (~$26,000.00) CD player, and a 154-inch TV screen. We think we will pass on the paisley-designed Benz, however.

Tony Assists Russian Travelers

Tony Wouldn’t it be nice not to have to lug that heavy luggage around when you fly? Russia has come up with a robotic suitcase that follows its owner when he/she puts a sensor in its pocket. Light detectors, infrared sensors, ultrasound and a gyroscope help the bot, whom they named Tony, to move around objects and keep from falling off stairways and ledges. Set to come out in 2009, the robot will be available for 49000 RUB (~$1960.00.) With all the fuss at airports these days when you try to take your shampoo along, what chance would Tony have of getting past an inspection? Our guess would be slim to none.

Russia Designs Shocking Water Cannon

Special Materials Ltd. is a Russian weapon company that has decided to create a portable water cannon. They are contemplating the idea of a “non-lethal weapon based on electro-hydrodynamical effect,” which means a sharp mini-electric shock in a jet of water. They say that the results are minor with little chance of injury. Excuse us, but doesn’t water plus electricity mean run away?

The first prototype of the CPS 2000 shot a half ounce of water at 200 feet per second, leaving a spot of about 12-inches diameter on a target which was about 12 feet away. The company is hoping that their eventual super soaker will fire 2 to 7 lbs. of water at a distance of 17 feet. We say, “Ouch!”
