Fable 2 Shares the Love
Lionhead’s designer Peter Molyneux has decided to put the concept of love into his next game for Xbox 360, Fable 2. After selling 3 million copies of the first version, the sequel is reportedly 30 times bigger with more monsters and weapons, plus the addition of emotion. He claims, “We want you to feel loved. You can have sex and you can have a baby. That baby will grow up and will kind of look like you.”
Playing the game allows you to start your own cyber family. It also features a dog that is unique to each player, who acts as a guide that can interact with your icon and other gamers’ pooches online. Lionhead is hoping that this will be a pleasant change from the mostly violent video games now available. Due out in 2008, we’re thinking that this sounds like a good plan, but we aren’t sure that we want to feel quite that cyber-loved.
