Image Moments is currently working on a new frame, the 15 (IMT-153.) The 15-inch XGA (1024x768) digital LCD has a contrast ration of 700:1. It will hold 450MB of memory, which equals out to more than 2,000 photos. The frame supports CF, MD, MMC, SD/HC cards, Memory Stick, MS PRO and Duo, and xD-Picture Card. Copy images directly from your card via USB 2.0, then organize, catalog, delete and sort. Available next year with 3 included interchangeable mats, the IM 15 will set you back $399.99.

We once witnessed a plant’s reaction with a lie detector to someone’s bending one of its leaves and were pretty impressed that the plant exhibited stress. But Midori-san, a Sweetheart Hoya, makes that look juvenile in comparison. Satoshi Kuribayashi of KAYAK has developed sophisticated technology that allows the house plant to blog on line. With surface potential sensors, it measures changes such as temperature, vibration, and nearby humans. An algorithm translates that data into Japanese sentences that make up the blog. You can monitor Midor-san and offer it a dose of light through its site, which seems to lose something with the translation.

The headset gives you up to 120 minutes of video or 270 music, both uninterrupted, through an 4 GB or 8GB internal hard drive. You can also view WMP files with it or download Internet content with WiFi access. The device has embedded motion sensors for head control operation. Ford MyKey Curbs Kids in Cars

For parents who are reticent to let their kids drive their cars, Ford has come up with MyKey. Available on the 2010 Focus Coupe to start, the option can limit the vehicle’s top speed to 80 mph, limit the stereo volume to only 44% max, and issue an annoying chime if the seat belts aren’t connected or if the car reaches 45, 55, or 65 mph. The system uses Ford’s SecuriLock anti-theft system that identifies which key is in the ignition.

Sony has announced that their new PRS-700 eBook will soon be available for all bookworms. Similar to their PRS-505, the Reader’s expanded memory can store about 350 digital titles and is compatible with MS-Duo and SD cards. It has a 6-inch display, weighs only about 8 oz. and can handle 7,500 pages of reading on a single battery charge. There are 5 pre-set text sizes, and the reader has a built-in LED reading light. Due out next month, the PRS-700 has a $400.00 price.

Hamper-shaped, the prototype automatically washes once there is enough weight in it. With a wireless connection, it has a remote monitor and control of wash cycle frequency by PC and IM notification to PC or mobile device when your clothes are done. The Japanese company Prop has developed a Human Airbag for seniors. The strap-on device deploys in a few seconds if the wearer falls and can’t get up. It consists of 3 airbags that inflate with compressed gas, protecting the head and back. Unfortunately, the vest will not work if the user falls forward. The safety gadget costs $1000.00 and we are thinking that maybe Prop could design a mini-version for toddlers learning to walk.
