Blackberry Bold

Due to be released this summer is the Blackberry Bold. The smartphone features a 624MHz Intel PXA270 processor, a fully redesigned QWERTY keyboard, 3G HSDPA connectivity, and a HVGA 480 x 320 pixels TFT LCD with 65,000 colors. As with previous Blackberrys, the Bold has cam and video recording, social networking, GPS with maps and turn-by-turn directions, Wifi and Bluetooth capability, IM, e-mail, and BlackBerry Media Sync to transfer desktop iTunes music files.

iPhone screenshot shows 3G setting switch

All signs are pointing to a new 3G iPhone launching in the next six weeks or so. The latest is this screenshot that is, supposedly, taken from the iPhone 2.0 Beta 5 firmware. Check it out - within the Network settings pane, you now have an Enable 3G toggle switch. It’s a way to put a little bit of power back into your hands as the user, what do you care about more, speed, or battery life? I personally would love a setting that disabled 3G when the iPhone realized I was connected to a WiFi hotspot.

In all seriousness, Apple needs to launch this thing already. The employees over at the Rumor Mill are working way too many overtime hours.

Stream 202 DAB/FM/ WiFi Radio

Roberts has come up with the nifty Stream 202 radio that plays DAB, FM, and WiFi if you have a broadband connection with wireless router or Ethernet. Stream your computer’s stored tunes, listen to stations all over the planet, and save your faves with 15 presets. The Stream also features an intuitive menu, 2 alarm timers, an aux. input for MP3 player, and a socket for headphones. At a size of 300 x 174 x 115mm and a weight of 1.47kg, the radio comes with an AC adaptor or can run on 6 D batteries (not included.) It carries a price of £149.99 (~$292.00.)

WiFi Nike Dunks

We have seen lots of clothing for catching WiFi signals, so it is no surprise that Nike Dunks have the same built-in. Named “A Step in the Right Direction,” the sneakers were designed by MSTRPLN and Ubiq. There are 3 LEDs on the flap enclosure that will go solid when it registers a signal up to 50 meters. HTC Touch Diamond Smartphone

HTC’s Touch Diamond is the latest smartphone to join the pack. It features a 2.8-inch touch screen, TouchFLO 3D for images, a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus cam for stills and video, HSDPA connectivity, 4 GB memory, 256MB ROM, and 192 MB DDR SDRAM. There is GPS, HTC Weather reporting, and it has both Wifi and Bluetooth capability. At a size of 102 X 51 X 11.5mm and a weight of 110g, look for the Touch Diamond to come out for play in June.

Mobiado has released the Camo, a top of the line cellie for the outdoorsy type. The cami design is hand-painted, so you know that its Limited Edition of 200 isn’t made for the masses. The phone is made of an anodized aluminum shell with stainless steel buttons and a 65k display with a 208 x 208 pixel res. Amidst all the Zune news of the past day, we were curious to get the pulse out there. How excited are you about the whole Zune Social thing? We’ve gotta admit, when we saw some of the ideas that the peeps over at Microsoft came up with as it pertains to music discovery within Zune, powered by your social network, we were kinda digging it. So, what say you? Have you gone and customized a Zune Card for yourself, maybe even syncing a few to your Zune device? Do you keep WiFi powered on when you take your device out and about in anticipation of swapping tracks? Or are you one of those who just stay as far away from the Social as possible? AE WiFi Internet Radio

Acoustic Energy is working on what they say will be the planet’s first WiFi Internet Radio.  It will be able to reach about 99% of radio stations online through broadband connection anywhere in your house. AE claims there will be no pops, crackles or signal coverage problems. Expected out in November, there will be no subscription fee involved with the radio. Look for a MSRP of ~£199 (~$394.00.) At that price, we think we will stick to radio ramblings via our computer.

Kleer Opera Cordless Headset

Kleer has teamed with the Korean company DigiFi to create Opera, a cordless headset that wraps around your head and over your ears with an iPod adapter. They claim it has CD-quality audio with up to 10 hours of continuous play. The Opera also has multi-point Listen in technology so that four people, if they also have a set of the buds, can listen to the same audio stream. We would love to find a set of earbuds that are really comfortable and have no cords to choke on but might think twice at a MSRP of $98.00.

What do you do when Danica Patrick wins her first IndyCar race? If you are Motorola, you grab a huge pic of her with your insignia on her jumpsuit and offer free wallpaper. Then you build a site called MotoDanica and feature a whole slew of kewl products with her name on them. They include a Bluetooth Automotive System for switching from music to phone, a Bluetooth Headset, and MOTOKR Headphones. We think this surely beats being on a box of Wheaties.
