Kodak Features New Line of Economical AIO Printers
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Accessories, Smart Home, PC / Laptop,

Eastman Kodak has announced that it is breaking into the All-In-One field with a new line of Easyshare inkjet printing systems. The company claims that consumers can save up to 50% on printing costs but will still receive that quality for which the company is known. In addition, with use of its Photo Value Pack, that means a 4 x 6-inch photo will cost as little as ten cents a print.
“For years, the high price of inkjet cartridges has kept consumers from freely using their printers,” says Antonio Perez, chairman and CEO of Eastman Kodak. “With affordable premium inks, families can now create crisp documents and Kodak lab-quality photos at home.”
We agree that the best news here is that their ink cartridges will come with a MSRP of only $9.99 for black ink and $14.99 for color. The Easyshare 5100 and 5300 models will be available exclusively at Best Buy beginning in March for $149.99 and $199.99 respectively, while the 5500 can be purchased in April at the Kodak Store for $299.99.

Origami Teaches Tots to Use TV Remote
Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Accessories, Design, Home Entertainment, Misc. Tech, Science,
Who didn’t love this paper gadget when they were growing up? Hayeon Yoo’s Origami TV Remote Control was developed during a one week Electronics and Software workshop at London’s recent Work in Progress. The prototype has such functions as channel selection and volume control, and is made up of a wireless sensor board and Max/MSP. Designed to get kids to learn to use the remote, we think we would have just as much fun and may not want to share.
