Miley Cyrus to Mentor American Idol Contestants

They might not be singing songs from teen idols anymore, but they are going to be mentored by one anyway.

It’s just been announced that American Idol’s remaining 11 contestants will be following up Rolling Stones week with a “Billboard #1 Hits”-themed show. Who will be on hand to help guide the singers on their quest for fame? Someone who’s not even old enough to be considered an adult yet: 17-year-old Miley Cyrus.

Cyrus’ mentoring duties on Tuesday will be followed up by a performance from the singer on Wednesday. (That’s when she’ll sing “When I Look at You,” a song from her upcoming movie The Last Song.) Meanwhile, two other teen stars are also scheduled to sing during this week’s results show. Real-life couple Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato will be on hand to perform “Make A Wave” together.

This new video has Miley Cyrus kissing Liam Hemsworth once again—but this time, it’s for professional reasons.

“When I Look At You,” which can be found on The Time of Our Lives CD, is a song from her upcoming movie. The Last Song, co-starring Cyrus and Hemsworth, hits theaters on January 8.
