Fleetwood Mac to Release New EP

Fleetwood MacFleetwood Mac will release a new EP later this week. The band will be putting out their first new material since their Say You Will album from 2003, including new track "Sad Angel."

The band - Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks - debuted both that song and another, "Without You," last Thursday at the opening of their 2013 tour in Ohio, US. Lindsey announced news of the new release to the crowd at another show in Philadelphia. "One of the things we thought would be a good idea before we hit the road would be to go into the studio and cut some new material. So last year we did that. It's the best stuff we've done in a long time and in a few days we're going to drop an EP of new stuff," he said.

Ex-band member, Christine McVie - who left the band and retired from music in 1998 - has also said she would like to perform with the band at one of their London dates if they will allow her: "If they wanted me to, I might pop back on stage when they're in London just to do a little duet or something like that."

Fleetwood MacFleetwood Mac are reuniting to tour in 2013.

"The Chain" group - featuring Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks - are planning to get back together and play shows for the first time since 2009, Stevie confirmed today.

"Next year, so far. It's the plan. Because that's what we do. I do my [solo] thing. And Lindsey is out doing his [solo] thing now. Everybody's on board," she told CBS when asked if the band would tour again.

The move comes just months after drummer Mick said he never thought the band would tour again, due to the other members' solo careers: "I don't believe Fleetwood Mac will ever tour again, but I really hope we do. We have rehearsed it and prepared for it since 2010. I played drums on most of Stevie's album, the one she is still out there supporting and the one that is the reason that, for now, she refuses to do a Fleetwood Mac tour. It comes down to her."

Beginning in Spring 2009, four of the group’s main band members - Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie - will kick off their Unleashed tour. The reunion is their first since wrapping up their Say You Will concert gigs back in 2005.

At this time, only 15 locales have been announced for the month of March. (More dates will be added later.) Tickets for the current stops will go on sale starting December 15. American Express Cardmembers will have early access to most of the cities beginning December 8th through Ticketmaster.
