E.T. Home Spared in California Wildfires


E.T.‘s home away from home was saved by hardworking firefighters in California.

Although it looked as if the Tujunga area-property (featured above) might fall victim to the ongoing wildfires, the famous house once used in E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial is still left standing. At one point, residents in the Los Angeles neighborhood had been told to leave.

The residence, which was where Elliott (Henry Thomas) and Gertie (Drew Barrymore) supposedly hid their alien friend, is positioned along a cul-de-sac on Lonzo Street. Director reportedly chose the location because it represented middle America.
