I am a woman and there are certain words that if a male stranger, use during a conversation, I would be insulted. But if my husband or a close friend used the same words it would be fine, those words are sweetie and honey. Any word once it has been uttered is subject to the personal interpretation of the person who hears it. The intent may not have been how it was perceived. This means that people bring their personal background/heritage into any conversation. I am hoping that with the intermarriage of people of different backgrounds that the usage of words like the n-word as terms of endearment or hatred will stop.
If we (this means all of Human kind) keep giving credence to situations that cause divisions within the population then the division of the “races” will continue.
