So basically like the rest of the UK apple fans, save for a few lucky ones, I am itching to get and iPad. I am pretty much set on getting the 3G model for a few reasons.
My question is, if I get a friend to get me a 3G iPad while he is in New York over the next 2 weeks will it work the same over here? Are all of the 3G iPads identical or are they region specific?

I already have a US Account for my iPhone 3gs, and I wanted the iPad 3g for the AGPS features, thankfully AT&T uses the same frequencies my cellular provider does so 3g would work here aswell.

No details are known in regard to the maximum number of iPads that can be pre-ordered per person and to be collected from the store on April 3rd.
