Microsft security chief “Stephen Toulouse”, has wantedly or unwantedly made a comment that he uses firefox, He spoke those words while he was giving an interview with http://www.wired.com.
Then he also mentioned that he had download an upgrade to Firefox to block a flaw.

Well, back then they still had IE6 which was insanely insecure.  I don’t see any reason for them to use Firefox now though, since IE7 has made a lot of security advances (especially on Vista with “protected mode”).  IE8 looks to be even better as far as standards compliance, so Microsoft should have some confidence in their product now.

I agree with the last point on that page. He’s using Firefox to observe the enemy, see what it can and can’t do. Then attempt to make Internet Explorer better in the ways Firefox can’t do. Unless he just likes to use it, which I wouldn’t blame him if he does.

lol! seems like it eh? in internet explorer 8 they just added what firefox has had for a while, the crash restore button
now if ie8 quits out you can restore your session- so hey that could be the case

The article is more than 4 years old.. :\

Anyways, I find it funny but that was kind of predictable.  IE hasn’t always been safe, it actually still isn’t.  haha it’s Microsoft we are talking about.

Just so you know, it’s not a big deal, Microsoft Exec. use Macs too alot of employees use mac… so using firefox isn’t a big deal… Some Microsoft Employees even say Vista sucks. so using firefox is the least you have to worry about. and Firefox is great. see my endorsement of firefox below???

yeah but its still a little bit strange since its the company they work for
they should be promoting their software instead of using someone elses
microsoft may use macs but something about it just doesnt seem very sportsmanlike

I think a lot of people are so “shocked” when they see others with the enemy, such as a Pepsi person drinking Coca-Cola or something. Haha, some of the points you guys made are awesome and as for the article, I agree with some of the points, such as “observing the enemy.” Hey, Firefox is more stable when it comes to it and if someone at Microsoft likes it, we’re not going to arrest him or anything!
