I’ve managed to laugh my way through episodes of “Haunted,” which feature a supposedly psychic gentleman who uses his perception to find ghosts in front of TV cameras. I enjoyed reality shows like “Fear,” where young kids roamed around so-called ghost houses performing scary stunts. I was even able to stomach VH1’s “Celebrity Paranormal Project,” made highly enjoyable with the addition of stranger-than-fiction Gary Busey. I’m not sure I can get on board with A&E’s “Paranormal State,” a religion-infused, feelings-enhanced look at the paranormal. And the demonic. But I do think I can understand that school of thought. If you believe, believe all the way. I get it. But the investigations conducted seem sadly lacking in presentation of evidence and the finding of evidence. People who are already believers will no doubt remain so after viewing Paranormal State, but the same can be said of skeptics too.
