This year’s American Idol seems more like a joke as fans watch good singers get voted from the stage each week, leaving behind those who are much easier to watch with the volume turned down. Gina Glockson will be packing her bags today, while more lackluster performers like Phil Stacey, Haley Scarnato, and Sanjaya Malakar live to butcher another song. Good looks have carried some fairly far on the Idol stage. It seems Simon is wrong. This show is absolutely not about singing anymore.
