Ipod hack?

Ok, so I’ve got quite a problem.

My 20gig iPod recently froze and won’t respond to anything, even a reset.
I took it to the Apple store, but the guy told me I’d have to mail it in to Apple, and I would lose EVERYTHING, even though it’s still under warranty.

There’s so much music on here that I don’t have backed up anywhere, since my laptop was stolen about 6 months ago and that had most all of my files on it.

The guy basically told me “wink wink nudge nudge” there’s a program out there that can save all of my music from my ipod for me, but he couldn’t tell me where to find it or what it was called.

Do any of you guys know anything about this? I’m mad desperate.

i dont know about a hack, but you could try ephpod.. dont remember where it is so just google it
ephpod can take songs from your ipod and put them on… but i dont know how it would react to a frozen ipod

I appreciate the info, but the ephpod site says that the program uploads songs to an iPod, not saves them from an Ipod. I need something that will take the music off of my iPod.

And the iPod isn’t completely frozen, the scroll wheel just isn’t responding. It works and plays, but I can’t scroll up or down, change volume, etc. So I can click the click wheel, but I can only play the one song it’s stuck on.

According to a bunch of people it does… I personally haven’t used ephpod tho
Check out these 2 threads… just try out ephpod.. if it doesn’t work just uninstall it…

or u send them one and they send u one back

longer support and better than apple

but no more hp ipods they stopped making em.

nope they said it doesnt fit into there business plan at all to keep making them at all.

Its a great piece of software to transfer songs from your iPod to your computer. My friend used it after he had a hard drive crash and saved all his music.
