Ok, I’ve decided to put in a bigger HD and void my xbox warranty. What size HD should I get?

Stuff I want to do:
Play games off the HD, I don’t play a lot of games, but would like extra space
Watch movies files on my PC on my xbox
Other crap

Also where can I get Xbox Media Center? or whatever it’s called? Any help would be appreciated. 😊

I would say 120 or 160, it really depends on how many movies/games.  However after rebate you should be able to get a 160 for pretty cheap.

Xbox Media Center is illegal so I can’t say where to get it specifically, but I suggest hanging around irc.efnet.net and Alt.Binaries.Cd.Image.Xbox

i got xbmc from a torrent.  search your favorite torrent site for it.

Ya, I’m gonna put the old 80GB Hd from my tivo into my xbox eventually.
Also from reading up about XBMC, I found that XBMC itself isn’t illegal.
In order to put it onto your XBOX you’d need to compile it and that would require the Xbox SDK which is illegal to own if you’re not supposed to have it.

are you using a chip to mod or linux?

Yes, if you download a usable form of it it is illegal.  You can get the source code which won’t do you much good pretty easily.

ya, source code no problem. I didn’t know about the already usable XBMC tho.

depends on how many movies u wanna put.. xvid takes like 800mb of space each one so id go with a 200gb one.
