[quote author=“enforce1”]That “Ican’t because i’m a gamer” line is pathetic. install your precious windows, then get your fav. distro and install to dual boot. only boot to windows for games.

true… but its still a hassle to reboot to switch from word proccesing to games 😉

i use Ubuntu live-CD (when i build a new PC, i’ll dual-boot SuSe… ireally like that distro). Ubunto is great because the will ship you CD’s (PowerPC Install, 64 Bit Install, x86 Live CD/Install) for free. I have spread it to 7 people b now :D ... need to order more CD’s soon :o

Seems like the user base is growing steadily.

Do you use Linux? If so, which Distro do you use?

I use SuSe.  8)

Debian is a great distro as well.. apt package management and a strong development community. My favorite distro second to Gentoo.

Listen, don’t start this hate-war between distros. Just remember, it goes like this:

Windows < ALL LINUX < OSX

So… you know… Get with it 😊

Linux is def growing its user base. it will be awhile before they take over something like windows. for the average consumer, windows is just easier to use, there isn’t much of a learning curve when it comes to “double click to open, click the X to close.” Trying to get consumers to change to something better is tough when the learning curve is a little bit harder(not much, but for an avg joe its enough to dissuade someone to give it a shot).
