I bought an Xecuter 2.6 from http://www.system-mods.com  I never got it working though :(  I’m thinking of sending to to them to have it installed.

They have great tech support. irc.efnet.net #smt

How can you mod an Xbox so that you can just put the games on your harddrive. One of my cousins has it done to his but says some guy sold it to him that way. And I’ve heard of people playing modded games on Xbox live without getting caught I heard it was like a switch. And last playing Xbox Live free. So anyone?

modding a xbox only allows you to burn games so in order to store them on your xbox you would need a hardrive. a store bought xbox comes with a standard 8gb hardrive but its best to install a larger one if you want to strore games. to play on xbox live you should purchase a xecuter 3 chip whichs allows you to turn off the mod chip with a switch. my friend runs a xbox modding site.

I have a 40gb harddrive installed in my xbox with an xecuter modchip, it owns! You can copy games directly to the xbox harddrive and play them without a disc!

What’s a good size HD to get? Some have said they have a 40 GB others say 120 GB

The geek in me tells me that bigger is better….. But is there a limit?

the size of the hardrive depends on how many games you want to store. you can get a small one and just delete them often. average games are 2gb, 4gb at the most so on a 120 gb u can store up to 60 which is good. but if u want to store a lot of games try to get a 400 gb HD

i believe its the best chip out on the market right now. u wont need to buy games with any mod chip all u need is a HD or a dvd burner.

not a site where we give out parts but for a certain amount of refs we would add things to the xbox so like i said led lights would cost around 3 refs installed. we would customize each xbox, and install everything then ship it, not just the individual parts

i got a xbit modchip in my xbox, not soldered just screwed down on the xbox motherboard. took like 2 mins to install.

I also installed a 80gb maxtor hd. It’s nice specially since my xbox dvdrom stopped workin.  I just put all my games on my xbox,  also got music and movies on there.

if your lookin for a good dashboard try unleashX, its much better then evolutionX

its pretty easy, flash the bios on the xbit, select the correct jumpers, align the xbit on the xbox motherboard so it sits in the d0 point,  tighten it down, and your all done.  Could be a defective modchip if its not workin.
