LMAO - that is truly amazing. I am assuming this is an old school Xbox since it is modded. You might be out of luck, as Microsoft won’t fix it for you. You can try calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX though.

yeah, its the old xbox (bought on launch day). i already partially broke it when i was installing the modchip (didnt have the right screwdriver, so i overdid it with a power drill…) and when i went in to try fixing this problem all i achieved was breaking it even more. now the modchip doesnt stay in place and it wont stay off long enough to let me fix it. i think i may be in the market for a new (old) xbox. (i cant afford a 360, and frankly, i dont really want one - im happy with my current xbox and its bountiful pirated games. or at least i was until now.)

Just turn your xbox on and go down to your circuit box and create your own surge by cutting the whole power off then back on again. Maybe this will work… dont know.

that might work - or it might just destroy more stuff…

either way, i bought an xbox on ebay that doesnt have a dvd drive (so it was pretty cheap), and it should sort out my problems if i just pop my modchip and hard drive into that.
