...when I was a little kid and just getting into videogames, I never bashed companies for cash-in sequels and unoriginality.  I was never harsh on slow-down glitches and other technical problems.  I didn’t compare one company’s effort with another, or focus on shortcomings.

Lost innocence man…  :(  Back then it was a simpler time.

I think it’s time we return to those simpler days when all we had to do was blow a big whif of air into those Mario Brothers cartridges 😊

@-)

I remember that!  Oh man, that loading system for the NES was so crappy.  Sometimes you were just about to beat a Zelda boss and the whole thing would just lock up.  Like you said, we would just eject, blow, and restart.  These days a product like that would just tank.

That’s pretty young. I got my playstation for my 15th birthday. I was so freaking psyched for Final Fantasy 7.

Here’s the order (without a couple gameboys):

Atari
NES
Genesis
SNES
Playstation
N64
Dreamcast
PS2
Gamecube

Does anyone remember the game with the two eskimos, and they had mallets and the point of the game was to work together to smash the ice bricks to make your way to the top?  Man, I LOVED that game.

My first console was the Atari 2600!  And I vaguely remember playing Pong earlier, but we didn’t own one…  :o

Ice Climbers! That was a fun game. Popo and Nana are playable characters on Super Smach Bros. Melee.

That game rocked too. I always wanted to get a Sega Saturn to play Shining Force 3.
