ooh, or that all-star tribute…i think it’s called “what’s goin’ on?”.  bono from U2 wrote it as an AIDS awareness thing, but it got mixed into the whole 9/11 thing too.

OHHHHHHH WAIT, I know another song!!!!! That one song “We Didn’t Start The Fire!” I think it’s by Billy Joel. That’s an *excellent* cultural song right there. 😊

Color Blind - Michael W. Smith

MICHAEL W. SMITH - COLOR BLIND LYRICS

Michael w. smith / wayne kirkpatrick

There?s not a world of difference
Out in the world tonight
Between this world of people
Red, yellow, black and white
But instead of riding a rainbow of love
We still are fighting with prejudice gloves
Of anger
With something to claim
But nothing to gain so
Chorus:
Why can?t we be color blind
You know we should
Be living together
And we?d find a reason and rhyme
I know we would
?cause we could see better
If we could be color blind

Somebody?s just assuming
He?s up to nothing good
?cause he?s not like the others
There goes the neighborhood
What kind of world are we living in
Whe we judge a man by the tone of his skin
It?s crazy
?cause he has a heart
Like you have a heart and

Chorus

Bridge:
It?d be so fine
To be color blind
To open our eyes
And see color blind

I know this world would be a better place
The only race would be the human race
All of those barriers would be erased
Why can?t we be color blind

Chorus

Or, I’d go with the Black Eyed Peas

My mother and step-father are obsessed with their music :| I have no idea why. I don’t like them very much, LOL But they are supposed to be classics, I guess—I think the only reason why I don’t like them is ‘cause my parents do

I totally grew up on the music my parents listened to.  I prefer that stuff way more to what’s on the radio today…

I prefer the music I grew up to. 80s and 90s music fills my playlists on my mp3s. Most of the stuff that has come out since 2000 is really really ****ty. Nothing like a healthy does of nostalgia!

I like to think that music started to suck around…1999-ish.  I remember 1997 being a really good year music-wise.

1996 also rocked. I remember a lot of good music coming out in 1996. Maybe it was the whole 96-97 academic year that was just awesome for music fans! Then it just started going down the crapper.
