Has anyone tried installing Mandrake Linux on an iBook.  I had problems when it came to creating the patitions.  It said it needed a bootstrap, so I tried to create an apple bootstrap partition, but then it said it doesn’t know how to create a bootstrap partition.  I don’t know really know about macs weird partitions.  I’m new to macs.

I’m going to be “that guy” and say that real men compile gentoo.

Ok, now that I have that out of my system, try the Knoppix PPC live distro. It has a Hard drive install, as does Yellow Dog.

I hear yellow dog is fantastic. Pretty sure it still uses disk druid, but i could be… terribly wrong. I dunno, HFS+ filesystems are goofy.
