Hi,

Not sure if this is the place for this request, but here goes. I have a home office and I listen to MP3s all day over a set of PC speakers. When I get a call, I reach for the volume control on my laptop and turn it all the way down and then pick up the phone.

In the perfect scenario, I would have headphones for my phone and music. When a call comes in, somehow, the music would stop and let me pick up the call. Upon call termination the music would resume.

The headphones would ideally be wireless (Bluetooth?). Right now I listen to MP3s using WinAmp, but I would entertain using an Ethernet or USB attached player. My phone could change as well.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

David

I think hitting “c” while on Winamp pauses it…

Hmmm, I thought this was the GearLive forum, not the Gear Luddite Forum. I know all the WinAmp shortcuts, and its not really a point of laziness. Rather, its a matter of convenience. I need to move to a headphone for my phone calls, as after years of talking on the phone, my neck needs relief. So how can I integrate music and phone calls. I’m sure the products out there. In this mad, mad, techno world, if I can think of an idea or convenience, there always seems to someone out there who has already thought of it. I don’t think I’m too bleeding edge here. All forms of communication are being converged.

Here’s a link to a product that comes close. This one is works with cell phones, not office phones though. This is what started me down this path.
