If a videogame system is gear, than the 3DO when it first came out (the first day actually) and it cost $800.
Does my $2000+ laptop count as gear?

Assuming a game console is considered gear, I’d say the original PS1.
Ended up getting Toshinden, Rayman, and Ridge Racer on the launch week. Along with a memory card, and an extra joystick. Total spent was about $800.

My recording studio - cost about 20k - i know its multiple pieces of gear but to me its one unit 😊
