alright .. i built this pc for myself awhile ago (aprox 3 months) 3.2 ghz p4 with 1.25 gb of pc 3200 ... now my question is “is it worth it for me to upgrade to ddr2 and have to pay for a new board and ram, or is there not really much of a diffenrence between ddr and ddr2 ” thanks

i would say wait until your next PC, then build from scratch again. sometime next year, when P4 64s are out and a bit lower in price.

you really won’t notice much of a difference 😉

He could just upgrade to an Athlon 64 if he really wanted to right now, and get a mobo tha supports DDR2. That would make a huge difference if and only if he got Windows XP 64bit.

that defeats the purpose ... i dont want to buy a new cpu ..  i think ill just wait but itd be nice to have a board that supports both ram types so i could use my current ram in combination with ddr2
