With all the MiniMacs being received, I think it’s a good idea to start a thread for users new to the mac world on what advanced features they’ll be finding on their Mac they didn’t have on their PC.

If you have something to contribute, please post it below.

Myself personally, I have upgraded to 1GB of RAM in the system—this was pretty easy with decent instructions—heres what I used for reference:

Voice commands are always fun to play with. 😊  Turn it on in the System Preferences somewhere.  You can now have your computer tell a knock knock joke, browse the internet, or play chess with your voice. 😊

Yes, Mac OS 9 also had voice command passwords to login. 😊  In OS X you have to type them. :( However the speech commands are fun to play with. 😊

no..its not a g5. its a g4.  if they sold a g5 for 499, there would be droves of people buying it.

    - specs for the mini

-specs for the power mac g5

there’s a significant difference.

A nice trick to show off to your friends, when you have a lot of windows open, press and hold down the Shift key, and they press any of the Expose keys, and everything will move in slow motion. Uber cool! :D

(I think it was the shift key..lol)
