first off, don’t flood me with ref links for dreamhost… they don’t have Cpanel.

I am looking for a host for less that $40 a year that has Cpanel, and reasonable storage and features. Not much time to write, but any suggestions?

😊

Although a little bit more than $40 a year, I really have to recomend siteground. I have been using them for theshoutout.com and congablast.com for a while now and have been very happy with them so far. In fact, Just last night at like 4am they went above and beyond and manually updated my phpbb forums even though they are not supposed to give support for the cppanel extras like that. And they always answer my support tickets withing 10 minutes…but usually like 2!

They have cppanel and its awesome…a few clicks and you have forums installed!

[list=1]for only $4 a month you get:

[*]1000MB of storage/space, which is plenty for most websites
[*]10 GB of traffic, which like space, should be plenty for most sites
[*]5 MySQL/Postgre DB’s
[*]CPanel = VERY COOL! I love this part of the site. Makes it so simple to add things such as THIS very message board. 1 click and fill in the info and it’s ready to go!
[*]100 free subdomains
[*]1000 free email accounts
[*]shopping carts available
[*]php, pearl, python support
[*]CGI scripts
[*]Unlimited FTP access
[*]and even more
[/list:o]
And for another $2 a month you can double any one of the features…I decided to double my traffic so now for $6 a month I get all the normal features but get 20gb of bandwidth included.

You can also register a new domain through them for $10 a year if you do not already have your own.

The only thing I can see that may be considered a “negative” is that you pay for the whole year at one time…so it is still $4 a month but you pay the year upfront. Still pretty easy to come up with that amount especially since I don’t have to worry about hosting cost for another year. My last host was $15 a damn month and it added up fast…and they had way less features!

If you decided to sign up, please use my link so I can get some hosting credit 😊. Not that I need it as much since it is so cheap lol…but free is always nice.

Webspace: 50,000MB
Bandwidth: 70,000MB
Parked Domains: 50
Addon Domains: 50
MySQL Databases: 50
Email Accounts: 50
Mailing Lists: 50
Ftp Accounts: 50
Cpanel X
Fantastico
Phpmyadmin
Cgi bin

Php
File management

for $31 for the first year, then $10 per year renewal!  :mischeif:  :mischeif:

doesn’t come with a domain, but i have already bought one (  , the site is already up!)

and ridv, i’m not really back, but i need to make a website for a school project, and i have been wanting to make one of my own for a while… Presto! Insta-Excuse!

i think i’ll just stick with the above mentioned mystery-host
