Increase Volume on Mp3s

I’ve got a bunch of MP3s that were encoded on a low volume… is there a way to reencode to increase the volume?

On itunes, right click on the song, choose get info, under options you’ll find a section for the volume.

ya that works for when i listen to it on my computer, but not when i’m listening to em straight from my ipod
